-"Mommy,I want to go to the park" I had gone into my mommy's 'office' timidly after gathering up the courage to ask the question all day.

She rubbed her temples and snapped -"Jade,how many times must I tell you that you can't go to the park?! There is no time for playing games! I clearly said that you had to study in the library!"

-"But I already read the books you told me too. The history book about how The Grolsh Council appeared,the book with the new laws,the three spell books you told me to study and I even practiced the spells. Oh! I also read the potion book and practiced all the potions in it. I want to play mommy" I whined.

-"Fine then go and play with a bird outside until you kill it or something" she huffed.

-"But why not to the park?" I whined again.

-"How many times must I say it! Those kids are weaklings,your above them! Why would you want to be with kids who are practically peasants?! It will be a waste of your time Jade,a waste of your magnificent power" she cooed.

I was crying,I didn't like it when she screamed. She squatted down to my hight and whipped away my tear stained face.

-"Jade,mommy does this for your own good. You have more power than kids your age,they will only be scared of you,see you as a freak,an outsider. Mommy doesn't want people to see you like that. People are bad,they will only be mean to you,I don't want you suffering through that,so just stay in the library reading,or play outside,please. Do it for me,your mommy that loves you."

I smiled,she was right.

-"Okay" I kissed her cheek and ran outside.

But she was wrong in trusting me. You see I can be very persuasive and a grate liar. I just wanted to go outside,if she doesn't watch me,I can secretly go to the park.

I opened the big gate and started walking toward the park. I was skipping happily because I was able to leave and trick mommy. Good thing I read a book were the protagonists was a good liar,he taught me a few tricks.

I giggled to myself when I finally saw the gates to the park and ran to them. Kids were in the magical swings that moved by themselves or in the twisty slides others were running around and playing zap-tag.

I jumped in excitement and went in. I looked around to see what I could do first. There was a group of kids playing fire dodge ball but I didn't feel like burning my pig tails off.

Then I saw a little girl with glasses and brown hair reading in a corner of the park. I thought she looked lonely so I went to give her company.

-"Hi!" I said as I sat next to the girl.

Her big brown eyes widened. She looked nervously at me and pushed her glasses off.

I sat up straighter and held out my hand like my mommy does in meetings "I'm Jade" I said with a grin,showing off one of my teeth that had recently fallen off.

She looked at me weirdly and grabbed only the tip of my fingers,shaking my hand slowly and confused.

-"What are you doing?" I asked as I looked curiously at the book in her hands.

Her face lit up.

-"I'm studying my spells" she said smiling "Right now I'm reading how to grow a plant,but for some reason every time I try,the plant grows an inch and dies" she told me frowning.
