Daniel's POV: It had been a few months since Vanessa moved her. Everyone loved her. She quickly became popular around school and I was getting worried because she had been getting so much attention from guys and such. But me and her had been talking. We had gotten extremely close and I really liked her and tonight I was planning on asking her out at Kiana's birthday party.

I got my lunch and sat down at the lunch table with my friends.
"Hey Daniel." Kiana said. "Hey guys." I said. "What's wrong man?" John asked. "I'm nervous." I said. "Why?" Nathan asked. "I'm planning on asking out Vanessa tonight but I'm not sure what she'll say." I said. "Don't stress about it dude. You and Vanessa are like goals." Caitlin said. "We are just friends." I said. "Not for longggg." Kiana said as her and caitlin laughed. "Don't say I told you anything, but she was talking about you the other day at Caitlin's sleepover. She does really like you Daniel. You should ask her out." Kiana said. "Really?" I asked. "Yes! She said you were super cute and she really likes talking to you. "Kiana said. "That doesn't mean she likes me." I said. "She said other things I can't say. It's against girl code." Kiana said. "Girl code?" Nathan asked. "Shhh." Kiana said while kissing him on the cheek. "Hey guys." Vanessa said while sitting down at the table. "Heyyyy." Caitlin said. "The chicken nuggets aren't good today." Vanessa said while picking one up. "When are they ever?" Nathan asked.

"Landis Ham, please come to the front office." A voice said over the speaker.
"Oh god, what did he do this time?" Caitlin asked. "Smoked a joint in the gym." I said. "Of course." Caitlin said. "We haven't hung out with him in forever dude and when we do it's not all seven of us. We all need to chill together man." John said. "Is he coming to your party tonight Kiana?" Nathan asked. "Well I invited him. Not sure if he'll show." Kiana said. "Parties really aren't his thing." Nathan said. "Whatever happens happens." Caitlin said.
