Caitlin's POV: Kiana and Van were supposed to come over today so I cleaned my room and finished my homework quickly. I heard the doorbell ring and ran downstairs. I opened the front door and saw Kiana standing there. "Heyyy." I said as she walked in. "Is Van here yet?" Kiana asked. "Van?" I asked. "Yeah, Vanessa." Kiana said while laughing. "I thought only Landis called her that." I said while laughing. "Oh yeah he does but Nathan has been calling her that too and I guess I kinda just picked it up." Kiana said. "Since when are we listening to Landis." I said. "Give him a break caitlin." Kiana said. "Whatever. As long as he doesn't try to ruin our girls night we're good." I said. "Why would he do that?" Kiana asked. "Because he's been hanging out with Van a lot lately and she's coming over." I said. "Van is still dating Daniel right?" Kiana asked. "Yeah why?" I asked. "Because Nathan told me that Daniel was looking for her and had been trying to talk to her this morning but she was off with landis doing god knows what." Kiana said. "Wow. I told her about him. I just hope they don't get too close." I said.

Almost two hours had gone by and Van still hadn't showed up. "Ugh where is she? I want to start the movie." Kiana groaned. We heard the doorbell ring and I quickly jumped up to answer it. I opened the door and saw Van standing there. "Hey Van." I said as she walked in. "Hey guys." She said. "Why are you so late?" I asked. "I kinda had detention." Van said. "Detention what? You never get detention. What for?" I asked. "Oh um late homework." She said while looking around. I felt like she was lying but who knows. I just went along with it. "That sucks. But we're all here now so let's watch the movie." I said. "alright." Van said as she sat down.

The whole entire movie Kiana was talking about Nathan leaving for college and Van wouldn't get off her phone. Who was she even texting if she wasn't texting Daniel back? What a total shit girls night.

"I just don't want him to leave. I love him. But I want him to get his education and everything I just will miss him so much." Kiana said. "Oh brother." I said. "Hey uh where's the restroom?" Van asked. "Down the hall to the right." I said. "Thanks." Van said while getting up. Kiana and I sat in silence until the sound of a text message went off. And then another. "Geez Kiana can Nathan chill?" I jokingly said. "Um that wasn't my phone boo." Kiana said. We looked around and saw Van's phone on the couch. Kiana and I both looked at each other and then at the phone. "Should we check..." Kiana said. "No that's her business, not ours." I said. The phone went off again and my eyes couldn't resist.

Landis

"It's from Landis..." I said. "What the heck, landis??" Kiana asked. "This seriously pissed me off." I said. "Why?" Kiana asked. "Because she's dating DANIEL and lately she's been ignoring him but she's constantly texting landis and talking to landis." I said. "You don't know that." Kiana said. "Well I'm going to fix this." I said while grabbing Van's phone. "Caitlin I don't think that's a good idea." Kiana said. Too late.

Van: Leave me alone Landis. I don't want to talk to you anymore. Stop texting me, and stop talking to me. Don't even respond after this.

I hit send and then blocked Landis' number on Van's phone and deleted the message I had sent and the messages Landis sent to make it seem like Landis hadn't texted back. I quickly put Van's phone back.

"The soap smells good." Van said while coming out from the restroom. "Yeah it's that ocean shit stuff." I said while laughing nervously. Van had grabbed her phone while smiling but when she turned it on her smile faded.

"What's wrong?" I asked. "Oh nothing I just entered in my passcode wrong." Van said while forcing a small smile.

I did feel bad but it's for Van's own good. Landis was bad for her.
