She stepped into the bathroom. Her hair was lit by the moonlight. Her eyes reflected the light of the stars. She looked prettier than she had ever looked before. And she had always dated guys, which meant that you didn't stand a chance.
"Sorry, I didn't know you were here." Lydia tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, but she didn't turn around to walk away.
"it's okay, you're not bothering me." You were smiling.
She wasn't bothering you at all. She could be anywhere where you were.
You were happy as long as you were allowed to stare at her.
"Good, because in that case I want to tell you something." Lydia straightened her back and she looked straight into your eyes. "I think I'm in love with you." She licked her lips. "Actually, I'm sure I'm in love with you." She didn't bend her head, didn't stare at her feet, didn't seem to wait for a hole in the floor to sink in. She didn't have to.
"Wait, are you joking right now?" You frowned your eyebrows, but Lydia shook her head.
"I wouldn't dare to." Lydia was still staring at you. "I'm serious." She waited and you took a deep breath.
"Damn, in that case dreams do come true..."
