The lake house is beautiful and very spacious. It consist of six bedrooms, five bathrooms, living and dining room, a large kitchen, home theater, and an indoor swimming pool. Not to mention that it's surrounded by water that reaches depths up to twenty-five feet. It was impossible to get bored here.
The house was usually used for parties, or events similar to mine. Hardly anyone came here for kicks and giggles.
"So, I figured we could unpack and then go out to eat. You can shower if you need to." Caleb says as we carry our bags up to the room we'd be sleeping in.
"Okay." I say, feeling a bit uneasy.
Caleb leads me down the upstairs hallway and into one of the six bedrooms. This room had a king sized bed with a canopy made of mosquito netting. The covers were black and the accent pillows were a nice teal color that matched the walls. Two wooden dressers sat side-by-side in the corner of the room, beside a vanity. There was a big window that took up most of the opposite wall. the curtains were sheer and white.
I set my bag on the bed and looked at Caleb nervously.
"Are you okay?" he asked me, his eyes meeting mine.
"A little nervous."
He chuckled and walked over to me. "Ellie, you have nothing to be nervous about. We've had plenty of sleepovers before."
"And you slept on the floor."
"It's not going to be that different, I promise. And you know we can't actually do anything until you decide who you want to be mated to, which is hopefully me."
I couldn't help but smile at him. He was so good at calming me down when I let my emotions get out of control.
"Can we stay here tonight?" I asked him. "I don't feel like going out."
"Of course. I can cook, you know."
I chuckled. "I know."
"After we eat, and do the dishes, we can watch a movie or go swimming." he suggested. "It'll be dark out by then, so if you want to stay inside, we can."
I smiled at him. "Okay."
He stepped closer to me and put his hands on my hips. I looked up at him, to ask what he was doing, and he took me by surprise by pressing his lips to mine. He pulled away a second later.
"I'm sorry I took you by surprise." he said softly. "I've wanted to do that for so long."
"It's okay."
He ran his fingertips over my cheek. "You're beautiful, you know that?"
I smiled slightly and looked at the floor. "Thank you."
He leaned in and pressed his lips to mine once more. This kiss lasted longer and I found myself kissing him back. His lips were warm and surprisingly soft. His moved his hand from my cheek and placed it back on my hip. He pulled me closer to him, wrapping his arms around my waist tightly.
"Caleb." I said softly, pulling away from his lips.
"What?" he whispered.
"I'm hungry."
He pulled away completely and gave me a soft smile. "I'll cook your favorite."
"I'll stay up here and unpack."
He nodded. He seemed bothered by something.
"Caleb?" I spoke before he walked out of the room.
He looked at me. "What?" his voice was rough.
