Ellie's P.O.V

I woke up cold. I fumbled around with the blankets, pulling them up to my chin. I rolled onto my stomach and realized that I was by myself. I sat up and looked around the room. It was dark so I could barely make out Calleo's figure on the floor. I chuckle escaped my lips. He must have fell off the couch sometime during the night.

The feeling of being watched washed over me, causing an unsettling sick feeling to twist in my stomach. I looked around. No one was in the room with me, except for Calleo. My forehead became clammy and a was suddenly hot. When I realized what was happening, I jumped off the couch and bolted upstairs to the bathroom.

Cold hands rubbing my shoulders woke me up later.  I was lying on the bathroom floor. I turned my head and met Calleo's eyes.

"Are you okay?" he asked me, his face covered with concern.

I pushed myself up into a sitting position, which was a struggle. Calleo helped me easily.

"I'm fine." my voice was scratchy from throwing up.

"Are you sick?" he pressed the back of his hand to my forehead.

"I'm fine." I said again.

"Did you throw up?"

I nodded weakly.

"Let's get you something to eat. Maybe that'll help."

I nodded again. Instead of helping me to my feet, he lifted me up into his arms. The rocky movent made my stomach churn.

"Put me down!" I struggled against him.

He set me down quickly and ran back into the bathroom. I knelt down beside the toilet and emptied out my stomach for what felt like the millionth time. Calleo stayed beside me, holding my hair back so it wasn't in the way.

"Oh, dear." my mothers voice drifted in from the hallway.

I wiped my mouth on a towel, flushed the toilet, and looked up at her. Concern covered her face as well.

"Are you okay, honey?" she asked.

"I'll be fine." I assured her, my voice becoming more hoarse with every word.

"Are you hungry?" Calleo asked me.

"A little." I admitted.

"I'll make you some soup." Mom said, walking out of the bathroom and down the stairs.

Calleo wrapped his arms around me and pulled me against his chest. He ran his fingers through my hair soothingly.

"Is she okay?" Caleb asked from behind Calleo.

"She's sick." he told him.

"How did she get sick?"

"How the hell am I supposed to know?" Calleo asked harshly. "And why does it even matter?"

"Because none of us are sick."

"And your point?"

"She didn't get it from us."

Calleo considered this for a minute. "You're right."

"So, what's wrong with her?"

"I have no idea. Maybe she has a twenty-four hour bug."

My stomach churned again and I pushed myself away form Calleo to lean over the toilet bowl. Calleo held my hair back. I dry heaved but nothing came out. My throat burned, raw from the acid I've been throwing up.

"I'm going to call the doctor back home." Caleb said.

"Are you crazy?" Calleo hissed. "The phone call can be easily traced back to here."

"No if I don't make it here."

"Then where are you going to make it?"

"I'll drive into town and make it while I'm buying food."

"Okay." he still seemed skeptical about it.

I flushed the toilet again and made a feeble attempt to get to my feet so I could brush my teeth. Calleo helped me up and kept an arm around me while I brushed my teeth. The taste of the tooth paste made me gag. I quickly spit into the sink and rinsed my mouth out with tap water. Calleo ran his hand down my side and over my stomach.

My wolf instincts kicked in and I pushed Calleo away, hard enough to made him stumble before falling.

"Ellie?" Caleb asked, shock covering his face.

Calleo got to his feet and took a step towards me. I let out a low warning growl.

"Ellie?" he asked, just as shocked as Caleb. He took another step towards me, causing me to growl again.

"Calleo, stop." Caleb muttered.

"Ellie, it's me." Calleo ignored his brother, focusing on me completely. "It's Calleo, your mate."

I snapped out of the trance like state I was in. I pushed Calleo away from me, hard enough to make him fall. And I growled at him! I never growled at anyone like that! And he's my mate...

"I'm sorry." I whispered, tears stinging my eyes.

His tense stance relaxed and he closed the space between us, pulling me into his arms. I cried silently on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry." I whispered again.

He ran his hand over my hair. "It's okay, baby."

"I don't mean to interrupt your little moment," Caleb began. "but, how long has it been since you mated?"

"Sixteen days." Calleo told him instantly.

Caleb looked at me. "You're pregnant."

Sorry it's so short, but the next one with be better, I pinky promise!!!!:)
