Calleo's P.O.V

Ellie's mother and her brother, Matt, arrived around noon the next day. I expected her mother to be in tears and holding on by a thread, but, like always, she stayed strong. Ellie hugged her mother for about ten minutes when they arrived. I stayed close, just incase they both went over the edge. It seemed I was the only one who could calm Ellie down anymore. But, Ellie stayed strong as well.

I half expected her mother to be completely clueless to the fact that we'd mated, but she knew right away.

"You two work fast, huh?" she said with a wink.

Ellie's cheeks turned bright red and I wrapped my arms around her.

That night, we decided to give Ellie's mother the master and Matt would sleep in Caleb's room, on the floor. Ellie and I would sleep together on the couch, which was fine by me because that meant that I would get to hold her close to me.

A week passed by us quickly. Ellie and I refrained from making love since her mother was less than sixty feet away from us and would hear everything.

On the eighth day of her mother being at the safe house, when Ellie was ready for bed, we covered the couch in with a blanket before lying down and pulling a thicker blanket over us. I made Ellie sleep on the inside of the couch so she wouldn't fall off. She faced me, her face pressed into my chest and my arms wrapped around her. Our legs were intertwined so that we were as close to each other as we could get.

"Calleo?" she asked after a minute of silence.

"Yes, baby?" I whispered. I had my eyes closed, enjoying this moment as much as I could.

"If I'm pregnant, will you be happy?"

"I would be so happy if you were, but at the same time I wouldn't be happy. I don't like you being in danger. I don't want to have our baby in danger, too." my hand moved to her flat stomach.

"Do you want a boy or a girl, when I do get pregnant?"

"I want a healthy baby. Either way, I'm going to love the baby the same, boy or girl. But I would like to have a few of each."

"So what you told me the first night we spent here still applies?"

"Of course." I kissed her forehead.

"Will we live in the Alpha house?"

"I'd like to, but if you want to live in one of the houses the others live in, that would be fine too."

"I love you." she whispered against the cloth of my shirt.

"I love you, too." I kissed her temple.

She moved her hands to my waist band. Her hands were cold and made me jump when they came in contact with my warm skin. She moved her hands up my stomach and stopped over my heart, the warmest part of my body.

"Are you cold?" I asked her.

"Yeah."

I pulled the blanket up to her chin and tucked it under her. Then I rolled so that I was slightly hovering over her, but not all of my weight was on her. I pressed my face into her neck so that my breath warmed her cool skin.

"Thank you." she whispered in my ear.

"You're welcome." I whispered back.

"You're so warm." she pressed her face into my chest.

"You're so cold." I teased.

She laughed. "Can I tell you something?"

"Anything, baby, you know that."

She looked up at me, her face competely serious. "I love you so much. I couldn't have picked a better mate than you. I wish you would see the way you love me. I can tell that you love me completely and I don't know why I didn't notice it before. You're an amazing mate, and you're going to be an amazing father."

Tears stung my eyes. I don't think I could love her anymore than I do right now. One of the tears spills over and falls onto my cheek. She kissed it away.

"Don't cry." she whispered.

"I can't help it." I sniffed. "I already knew that you loved me because you mated with me, but knowing it and having you say it to me are two completely different things. I don't think I could love you anymore than I do right now. I love you so much, Ellie."

She smiled and kissed me.

A/N: I know it's really short, but the next one is going to be a HUGE chapter. This one is, sadly, just a filler, but it's filled with mushy, gooey, lovey-dovey stuff!!!! I hope you enjoy!!
