Chapter 4

Asami

I stayed up all night watching over Korra and change out the ice when it starts to melt. She starts to toss and turn and sweat in her sleep. I realize that she's having a nightmare. I wrap my arms around her and holds her close and says "It's okay Korra your safe now". "No please get away" she says and starts to push me away but I hold her tight. "Your okay no one is going to hurt you" I say. She starts to calm down and I brush her hair with my hand. "I've got you and I'm not letting anyone hurt you again" "Thanks..." she pauses and I forgot she doesn't know my name. "Asami" "Thanks Asami" "Your welcome". I pull away and help her sit up. "How are your ribs?" I ask "Better" she smiles and I smile back "But I rather just heal them on my own just in case" I nod. She looks at me worried and I look confused. "What?" I ask "You didn't sleep" she says "Oh...I was just making sure that nothing happens when we're both asleep" "Oh...okay" "Well I'm up now so you can go to sleep" she says "No I'm fine I don't need any sleep" "I can tell your lying. Come on" she says and pats the spot next to her. "You sure?" I ask "yeah I'm sure" she smiles "Okay then" I get up from the chair and goes to lay down next to her. "Now get some sleep" I nod and close my eyes and by the time I know it I'm fast asleep.

Korra

I watch her sleep and can't help but see how beautiful she looks. I smile at her and I'm starting to think that I'm falling for her. I move the strand of hair in her face behind her ear and she stirs a little but doesn't wake up. I quietly get up from the bed and heads to the bathroom. I take off my shirt and the wrapping around my torso and looks at my sides in the mirror. I smile cause it looks better than before. I turn on the sink and bends the water and heals my ribs just in case they get worse. Then I strip out of my clothes and turns on the water and takes a quick rinse. When I'm done I dry off and wraps the towel around me from the waist down and grabs another towel for my hair and goes back to the room to get some clothes. I didn't pay attention to see if she was awake or not cause I was drying my hair. I go to the drawer and opens it and finds some clothes that would probably fit me. When I turn around I notice she is starring at me with wide eyes and mouth hanging open. "Shit I am so sorry I thought you were still asleep so I just came like this to grab some clothes to borrow cause you know mine is burnt and tattered and head back to the bathroom" I say fast and covers myself and blushes hard. "Um...its...its fine" she says and I can see she's blushing hard as well. We stare at each other for I don't know how long before she says "Um...Korra?" "Yeah" "The bathroom?" "Oh...um right" I say and quickly leaves the room. Stupid stupid stupid I say in my head. I put on the clothes and looks at myself in the mirror. "It's gonna have to do" I say and heads out.

Asami

I headed downstairs to make some breakfast for us. I'm setting up the table when I hear footsteps coming down the stairs. "Mmm it smells good in here" I laugh "Thanks. I was just gonna get the plates ready for us to..." I stutter cause I look up and stares at her cause she's wearing my clothes and damn does it fit her perfectly. Just look at how it shows her curves and how her muscles might rip it all off. "Wow" I say quietly "What?" she says "Nothing" I say again quietly. "Okay. Um...do you want me to help?" she asks "Um...yeah sure" I say and we get the plates ready and eat. "So what do you want to do today?" she asks "I don't know" I say and thinks. "We could go to my place. I could show you my polar bear dog. Her name is Naga and she can be stubborn sometimes but she's nice" "Sure" I say and smiles "Great" she smiles as well. My phone buzzes and I check it. "Ugh what does he want?" "Who's that?" "My dad he wants me to meet him" "Oh...okay" she looks sad. "Don't worry when I'm done we could go to your place" "Okay" she smiles. We clean up and I get ready and grabs my keys from the counter. She opens the door for me but before I head out I go to her and kisses her check. She goes wide eyes and I laugh "I'll see you later" "Yeah...um...be careful" "No promises" I smirk and goes to my car. I get in and starts it up and waves bye to her and she does the same and I drive off. I arrive at Future Industries and turns off the car. I head inside and goes to my dads office. I knock on the door and walks inside. "You wanted to see me?" "Yes" he says in a raspy voice and turns his chair around but what scares me is that it's not my dad it's Amon. "Amon? What are you doing here?" "To see you of course" he says and gets up from the chair and walks to me. I back up a little and runs to leave but before I could two chi blockers come behind me and grabs my arms. "Let me go!" I say trying to get out of there grip "You ain't going anywhere" Amon says. He nods at them and the only thing I remember is Amon laughing before I black out.
