Chapter 6 // Impatience

Those were the longest four hours of my life. Not knowing if your mate is okay or not while they do surgery on him. They have to do surgery because they don't want him to bleed out when they take the knife out.

But after four hours the nurse told me he just needs time to heal and that he needs to take it easy for the next few days.

I walk into the room and he's sleeping. I touch his cheek and his eyes slowly flutter open. "Hey" he smiles weakly
"Hi" I whisper "who did this to you?" I ask
"You don't want to know" he sighs
"Yes I do, I want to kick his or her ass" I say seriously
"James" he says to where I almost can't hear him.

I storm out of my room. He sure as hell better find a mate soon or I'll kill him myself. "Hey Delilah" James smirks. I walk up to him and slap him as hard as I can on the cheek. So hard that my luna ring made a gash. Then I walk away.
"Hey why'd you do that you bitch!" He shouts
"I could stab a knife into your thigh like you did to Luke" I spit. Not actually but I kinda want to because of pregnancy hormones.

Ever since I came to this pack so many things have been messed up. I wish Margo, Shane, Chase, Luke, and I could just run away.

I go to my room and lay down and fall asleep. When I wake up it's dark. I look at the time and it's 3:30 in the morning. So I got back to sleep

"I never did actually love you. I just used you. Made you think this was all true. I hired a very accurate witch." Luke says "it's always been Casey" he goes on.
"Casey? Like the girl from my pack. The one who hates me?" I gulp
"I don't know, you tell me" she smirks emerging from the woods
"W-why? We're having a baby Luke! You can't do this to me!" I cry
"Yes I can" he smirks. And they practically have sex right then and there. Pretty close to it anyways.

I jolt awake. I've never had any type of nightmare about this. Why now?

I decide to go check on Luke. Right before I open the door I sense a witch. So I use my wolf hearing to hear what's going on in there.
"Cusambré el davirdo beàn love gausava re mi lo Casey" she says
"Will it work?" I hear the familiar voice of Casey ask
"It should, as long as he doesn't have a mate" she crackles
"Thanks" and they both exit the room an I attack the witch
"What the fuck Delilah!" Casey shouts "what are you doing here?"
"I'm part of the pack now" I smirk
"What ranking are you?" She scoffs
"Oh my, well I'm the Luna. Or the Alpha's mate" I smirk again

They both stomp off clearly pissed. I just hope we didn't wake anyone.

I hop in the chair next to Luke's bed and I fall asleep there. I wake up to Luke talking to his dad.
"You mean she's pregnant?" He asks
"Yup"
"And she has a kid with another man?"
"No, the kid's mine too. We got drunk at the club one night." Luke says

I open my eyes and meet mine with Luke's dad
"Hello Delilah, I'm Luke's dad. Please call me John" he smiles
"Hello John. It's an honor to meet you" I smile back
"The honor is mine. You're my son's mate and you're the mother of my grandson and grand kid on the way" he chuckles
"Well I'm glad" I giggle

I'm glad that John isn't one of those dad's who are jerks. I know some Alpha father's and they are big jerks. Very few aren't and I got lucky. But some girls aren't.

Today at dinner Luke and I are joining his parents so that they can meet Chase. Also so that I can meet Luke's mom.

I'm nervous and exicted. I hope that she likes me. And I'm hoping that she can be the mom that I've never had. At least since I was little anyways.

I try to look my best. I wear a navy and white striped maxi skirt with a navy top and a gray see through cardigan.

Luke opens the door carrying Chase and I follow behind. Luke's mom is all over Chase. She looks really sweet. Soft, dark brown eyes with dark brown hair that has grays in it.

Then she comes over to me. "Hi, I'm Delilah" I smile
"Hello Delilah! I'm Lucy, but you can call me mom if you'd like" she says engulfing me in a hug.
"Thanks... Mom" I laugh and she does too. I feel like we're going to be close. I'm pretty sure that she doesn't have any daughters.
