Chapter 7: Heroism at it's Finest

[Joey's POV]

It was awhile before we got to Luke's. I took a little nap, and woke up just in time.

Sam: Here we are!

Sawyer: Finally.

We got out of the car, this time Sawyer took Hitch.

We knocked but nobody opened.

Sawyer: Damn it Luke.

We started to walk away when we heard somebody run to the door. It opened fast.

Luke: Hey guys! What's up?

He didn't have a shirt on and his belt was undone.

[Sawyer's POV]

I couldn't help but notice that Luke was half naked.

Sawyer: Um Luke, did we um, interrupt anything?

Luke: Uh no haha. Dot worry I just got out if the shower. Just a sec.

Luke closed the door. We heard the balcony open and footsteps. Once again Luke came to the door.

Luke: Ok guys come in.

We walked in and explained everything to him.

Luke: And why do you want me to do?

Joey: We need you to get us out of the country.

Luke: We're do you prefer?

Sam: anywhere but he-

Somebody knocked. Luke got up and ran to the door. He suddenly looked back.

[Joey's POV]

I could see the expression in Luke's eyes.

Joey: How did they find us?

Sawyer: they must have followed us here!

Sam: Bloody... I can't go to jail!

Luke: Alright guys out the balcony, i'll hold them off, go go go.

We quickly climbed down and ran to our car.

Sawyer: Oh no.

Sam: What?

Sawyer: Hitch!

Sawyer was about to run when we noticed two police cars Block the front of the car. We got out and hid behind the car.

Sawyer: *Cries* Hitch, I'm sorry.

I couldn't hold in the tears either.

[Sam's POV]

Sawyer and Joey didn't deserve this. I then remembered what Joey had told me, "I should have listened to Sawyer."

Sam: Joey, I want to earn you're trust.

Joey: What?

[Joey's POV]

What was Sam thinking? Was he going crazy? What did he mean, "earn my trust?" I then noticed what he meant, he took a gun out of his pocket. I wanted to yell at him, but I couldn't. Sam ran out and shot two police officers before he took a bullet to the head, ending his life. I wanted to react, but I soon noticed that Sawyer had ran for Hitch.

He came out with Luke and Hitch. He dropped Hitch to the floor were he then ran towards me. Luke and Sawyer followed right behind. The last cop yelled out.

Cop: Freeze or I'll shoot!

Luke must have felt heroic as well. He ran away from the car, and that dumb cop followed. Sawyer, Hitch and I got in the car. We drove off and the last thing I noticed was Sam's body later out on the ground.

Joey: He's, dead.

Sawyer couldn't help but cry.

Joey: But he earned my trust.
