Chapter 8: Lights, Camera, Action

[Sawyer's POV]

I was driving, but I didn't know where.

Joey: I'm tired of this. Maybe you were right. Maybe we should have gone back.

Sawyer: No don't think like that. It doesn't help a thing.

Joey: Sawyer, you saw what happened back there! Sam was killed! And Luke, who knows we're he is now.

I thought about what Joey was saying. I slowed the car down and parked on the side of the road.

[Joey's POV]

We stopped. Did I really just get into Sawyer's head.

Joey: Sawyer..

Sawyer: No, just stop.

I laid on the front of the car. I looked up and saw bright gleaming stars. I closed my eyes. I heard a pound and noticed Sawyer next to me.

Sawyer: We're going back. But not tonight.

Joey: ...

Sawyer: We're going to a motel and first thing tomorrow were going to turn ourselves in.

Joey: Ok.

[Sawyer's POV]

We got back in my car and drove off. My phone had been dead for a few days so I didn't know what time it was.

Joey: I wonder what our fans think.

Sawyer: They probably think we're dead.

Joey: Yeah. I feel bad not being able to talk to them.

Sawyer: You can.

Sawyer took a sharp turn and we ended up at a WalMart.

Sawyer: Wait here.

[Joey's POV]

I was getting worried. Sawyer was gone for a while. I was about to get out when I heard his voice.

Sawyer: TURN ON THE CAR HURRY!

I was scared. I turned the key and the car was up and roaring. I then kicked his door open and he jumped in.

Joey: Sawyer what happened!?

He didn't even have to tell me. I noticed a camera, and a laptop.

Joey: You didn't, steal this.

Sawyer: Oh yes I did!

Just then the car moved and sped up.

I looked back to see two big security guards run at us. I laughed, they just weren't fast enough.

[Sawyer's POV]

Joey as I laughed for a while.

Sawyer: That was just to easy!

Joey: Haha omg Sawyer!

We kept driving for a bit before we finally arrived. Joey turned on the radio.

BUZZ BUZZ BREAKING NEWS! THE TWO SUSPECTS ON THE RUN ARE NOW IDENTIFIED. THERE REAL NAMES ARE, SAWYER HARTMAN AND JOEY GRACEFFA FORMER INTERNET STARS. THEY WERE LAST SEEN IN A GUN FIGHT WITH A COUPLE OF POLICE. ONE WAS KILLED AND IDENTIFIED AS SAM PEPPER. ANOTHER SUSPECT WAS RUNNING AWAY FROM THE CRIME SEEN BUT IS NOW IN CUSTODY. HIS NAME LUKE CONARD. WE AR-

I turned it off. It was to much for me.

Lets just go in.

We stepped out of the car with the camera, laptop and Hitch.

Joey: This better go right.

Sawyer: I hope so too.
