Chapter 6

Emily's pov
We heard a bunch of noise coming from Kate's bedroom and I ran up there. I reached her room and opened the door. She was laying in bed screaming and turning. "Kate! Wake up!!" I screamed in her ear. She woke up and hugged me. Ashton came into the room and put his hand on her back to calm her down. "I had the nightmare again." Kate said tears running down her face. "It was just a dream it's okay go back to sleep." I said in a calm voice. She nodded and I got off her bed and went to the door. Ashton followed me and I closed the door. "What was that?" Ashton asked me. "Ever since our parents died we would have nightmares and replays of what happened. I only had some because I was 17 but she was 12 so she has more of them." I said "That sucks." Ashton said. "Honey, I'm home!" I heard my dad yell. I ran down the stairs with Ashton following me slowly. "Hi dad." I said putting on a smile. I went over to him and hugged him. Me and my foster dad are not nearly close as my real dad was and when he adopted me I didn't let him be a replacement at first but I got used to him. "Ashton I need to talk to you." My dad said to Ashton.
Ashtons pov
"Ashton I need to talk to you." Emily's dad said. I nodded and followed him to the kitchen but before I did I saw Emily's eyes and they showed fear which made me worry. "I just wanted to say sorry for being rude to you. I just wanted to protect my daughter like I promised her real dad but Marie opened my eyes and told me that her dad will be happy that someone is making her happy." Her dad explained to me. I just nodded feeling kinda awkward. "One more thing, do you fancy my daughter?" He asked me and I shyly nodded. "Ok. Do not break her heart or I break your face." He said sternly. "Yes, sir." I said. "Call me Steve." He said then he got up from his chair and I got out of my chair. I sent Emily and Emily's mom a smile. "Ashton dear, the guest room is ready. Emily can you show him the room." Emily's mom said. Emily nodded and took my huge hand in her small one and we went up stairs. "This is the room." Emily said and opened the door. (Pic to the side)
"This is great." I said staring at Emily. She smiled at me back and came closer. "You know what you should have? A sleepover." She said 4 inches from me. "Maybe I would." I replied. We started to lean in and Kate walked in. We pulled apart and Emily's face was redder than a tomato. "Ash likes Em! Ash likes Em! Ash like Em!" Kate said in a sing-song voice. "Are you done yet?" Emily asked her. "Yeah I'm done. Also I found out something." Kate said. Once Emily's face finally went back to the actual color she asked, "What is it?" "That you like Ashton" She said smirking.
