Chapter 10

Emily's pov
I heard hushed talking coming from right before me but I didn't know who it was. Its not May because she talks very loud. It's not Ashton because I could still feel his body next to mine. It's not Kate because she would have woken me up, so who is it? I opened my eyelids a little bit and saw my mom and dad. I was tempted to say sorry to my mom but right now I'm pissed off because I want some answers. "Mom? Dad?" I say getting up trying to not let my voice sound angry. "Oh hi dear. You don't look to good go upstairs and sleep." My mom said quickly and I knew she was hiding something because her nose is twitching a lot. "Actually I'm fine but I won't be if you guys don't tell me what's going on in in the next 5 minutes." I said a little loud causing Ashton to stir in his sleep a little. "Follow me to the living room and we will tell you." My dad said calmly. I nodded and walked in the living room. "Okay, tell me." I demanded once we sat down. "Why is your hair blue?!" My mom asked me.

"Don't change the subject Marie." I said through my teeth. I know  you might be thinking that I was being too harsh but when I'm ticked off, I go off and you do not want to see my bad side. "Emily Lola Knight don't you ever talk to your mother like that!" My dad yelled. "Well she's not my mother and you're not my father!!!!" I yelled at them. My Brown eyes turned into a deep green set of eyes like it always does when I'm angry. I told Steve to never call me or Kate by our nicknames because it's the name of our real parents. It took me a second to finaly realize what I said. I saw a very hurt look in Marie and Steve's eyes. My eyes turned back to the regular color as I talked, "Mom, dad, I'm really sorry. You know I hate when you say their na-" but I didn't finish because I got interrupted by my mom. "I don't want to hear it. Go upstairs your grounded!" She yelled causing me to flinch because she was never like this. "Can you at least tell me what you're hiding." I begged them showing my puppy dog eyes. "NO! YOU'RE GROUNDED FOR FOUR WHOLE WEEKS AND NO ELECTRONICS!" My dad screamed at me. "Three weeks for talking like that and one week for you're hair." My mom said calmly. She pointed upstairs and I went to my room. None of them seen my picture frame in my hand the whole time so when I was in my room I put up the frame and went to sleep.
               *1 Hour Later*
I woke up to the sound of very hard knocking on my door. Slowly I got off my bed and dragged my feet to the door. I opened the door to find my mom standing there. "I need your phone." My mom said sternly giving me a cold glare. I mean it's so cold it has me shivering in summer. Nah, I'm just kidding. "Seriously, that was all. I was accepting an apology." I said to her. "You think I'm going to apologize to you." She scoffed and then she snatched my phone out of my grasp. "Ashton's in charge, me and your father have to go to work." She said turning around to leave but I grabbed her shoulder harshly. "Mom, stop lying. You don't work on weekends!" I said getting frustrated. "Let go of me or else." She said while turning around to face me. "Or else what?" I teased just so I can tick her off. I mean, she won't do anything. "Or else you will have a whole month being grounded." She said smirking. Ugh, she and dad are so much alike and now I know why they don't claw each other's eyes out. The're so annoying! "Go ahead and ground me! Do I look like I care!" I yelled at her but she just stuck her nose up in the air. "Fine, your grounded for a whole month." My mom Saud and then walked down the stairs. I closed the door and went to my bed. "Aaaahhhh!!!!" I yelled into my pillow. I heard a knock at my door but I didn't get it. I just sat and stared at the picture frame. My room door swung open but didn't look until I felt a hand on my back. I turned to my right and saw Ashton. "You do know our date is tonight, right?" He said and I just nodded. "Good then put something comfortable on and meet me down stairs in an hour." He said getting up but I got a hold his arm. "Ashton, you know that I'm grounded and I can't step foot out of this house." I said to him looking him in the eye. "Yeah but your parents aren't coming home until tomorrow and Kate is at school." He said grinning and soon I was grinning back.

Emily's mom is acting like a bitch but you guys will be surprised at what happens next. Also I was writing this while watching 1D: This Is Us and 5 Seconds Of Summer: How did we end up here for the 900th time.
