Cleaning and relaxing

Sorry about the wait, I had to decide this chapter was about. Hope you like it!

As I look at my room I realise it's more of a closet then a room. When you walk into a black hole. The walls, furniture, everything is covered in black." It's the only room that's not filled with boxes or other things." She says as she leads me around." You could put some posters up and some of your stuff." She sighs, pats my back and leaves me to deal with my depressing room. As I set my stuff in the corner were a cloud of dust rises from movement. I cough and realised how much dust covered everything. As I walk to my bed little waves of dust cloud around my feet. As I inspect the area I find a little door to an actual closet. I start to unpack when I hear the clacking of high heels on wood as my aunt comes to my bedroom door." When your done lunch is ready for you. I'm going to be leaving to do something that I can't cancel again." She says and leaves me unpacking my things.

After dusting and cleaning the room I start to put my things in their new spots. I had turned on a lamp in the process and now the room doesn't look like something from a horror show. I set my book on the bookshelf and start to put my writing stuff on the desk. After finishing at least half of the room it already looked a little more like home. I grab my bag and put it in the corner and head downstairs.

Apparently lunch to her was a rotten banana and some crackers. I grab them and bring them up to my new room. My shoulder throbs slightly as the pain killers start to fade away. I go back downstairs and bring a glass of water back up. I pop to more pills in my mouth before finishing lunch. I put some of my little nic-nacs( sorry I don't know how to spell that) on the dresser along with some jewellery. It's going to be a while before I get comfortable but I think that this could almost be home.

Two weeks later....

" I'm going shopping with the girls so don't trash the house when I'm gone!" Aunt Ronda shouts as she runs to her car in heels. I don't think it's possible to run in heels. How do they not trip. I shake my head and go back to my reading. She's let me go to the book store on Sunday to get something to entertain myself. I turn the page and get sucked in further into the story...

As I stand at the corner I hear soft creaking sound near the end of the hallway. I know it's the monster looking for me. I quickly silence my breathing and stand stone still. I pray to God he doesn't sense me. I hear a sniff and some snuffling and paws with long nails dragging towards me. I know he's playing with me to see if I stand there frozen and wait for my death or run and have a game of tag. I take one step back then turn and start to sprint down the hallway. It's on the chase and it follows me down the corner knocking everything in its path. I turn the corner and run to the steps and practically flew down them. After a couple more turns and staircases I can hear his breathing behind me.

All I feel is cold wood as he knocks me down to the ground in the lobby. I hear people screaming and pointing. I feel so claws sink into my back as he growls in my ear. I stifle a whimper and slow my breathing. I hear sirens outside and feet pounding on the ground towards the hotel. I hear a click of a rifle and as the people ready their guns. I hear a bang and suddenly the creature rolls off of me but gets back up and goes for the men. Some scatter and some shoot. A body drops to the ground and the rest flee the scene for backup. I get up and start to try to find another way out. The thing focuses back on me and charges. I side step it and stumble for the door.

I burst into the fresh morning light as people look at me weirdly before screaming and running from the thing coming up behind me. I run across the street and into an ally which leads to the park. The monster struggles to fit but manages to get through and continue the chase. I dash across the fields and it gains speed and distance. I could hear it huffing as it goes full speed and...

After reading ten more chapters and I'm at the climax I hear the door opening and heels clicking on tile." I'm back!" Ronda shouts from the bottom of the steps." Hey can you come down here, I have something for you." She says as she clicks her way to the kitchen. I put the book on my bed and head towards the kitchen. She hold in her hands a giant bag." Is that some of my stuff?" I say as she hands it to me smiling." Yes, so now you can have something from home. Inside of it was the apocalypse kit, some clothes, and things that I forgot. I hug her and she smiles and let's me run up to my room.

I look through the things a bit longer before getting ready for bed. I change into pjs and I slip into bed. It surprisingly is comfortable and I close my eyes and let dreams fill my head.

" Your going to find her and you are going to kill her for good this time. Do you understand?" A voice shouts as it takes a shot of vodka and slams the glass on the table." Alright well make sure won't she doesn't escape." One says as the other trembles in there shoes." You better or else your going to be replacing her alright?" He say and gets up and leaves.
