Our Song (BTS Jungkook X Rapmonster fanfic)

Why did you save me?

Rapmonster gasped as he slowly grasped the realization of what had happened. The car was at a diagonal angle, all the windows broken with shards of glass everywhere. A heavy weight was on his chest, and as he looked down he felt in heart sink. It was Jungkook's body laid over his own. His back was bloody as some of the shards had gotten lodged in his skin. His arms and legs weren't in a much better condition as they were badly bruised, most likely from impact. Namjoon quickly moved his ear to the wounded Mankae's mouth, fearing the worst. He sighed in relief, Jungkook was still breathing, but unconscious.
"Is everyone okay?!" Jin's voice yelled from the back.
"Hyung and I are a little shaken up, but overall fine!" Replied V.
It took a while before Namjoon finally regained his speech "I'm fine! But Jungkook is badly wounded, we need to get him to a hospital, Now!"
The rest of the members made their was to the front of the bus. Rapmon looked at each of them. Jin seemed to be bleeding a small bit from his arm and leg. Jimin and Suga had bruises on their hands and arms, but no signs of cuts. V was bleeding from the head, but J hope had similar wounds as Jungkook on his back, only not as serious. Namjoon could only assume that J-hope had done what Jungkook did and shield V from the majority of the crash. He looked behind him to see that the bus driver had a gasping wound on his head, not breathing.
"Oh God, it's worse than I thought, " said Jimin as he looked at the youngest "Jin hyung, Suga hyung, help me get the door unjammed." (See what I did there?XD)
They nodded and proceeded to do what Jimin said. They pulled the opposite sides of the bus door as hard as they could until it finally gave way. Rapmonster carefully carried Jungkook piggy-back style outside. When they all got outside they could see what had happened. Another car was smashed against the front of the bus, the driver was, likewise, dead. A beer bottle in his hand.
'Damn," Namjoon cursed in his head "it was this drunks' fault this happened to Jungkook." He looked over his shoulder to see his face. Kookie was still unconscious, but his breathing was slow and deep. He needed medical attention, fast.
"I'm calling 119 (Korea's emergency line) now!" Said J-Hope as he whipped out his cellphone.
Rapmonster nodded and laid Jungkook in front of him so his back wasn't touching the ground. He was no doctor, but he knew that if the glass remained in Jungkook's body for much longer, he would bleed to death. The leader hurriedly took off his jacket and placed in next to him in preparation for what he was about to do. Namjoon planned to remove the glass himself and use his jacket as a makeshift gauze.
"Taehyung!" He called "Hold him up so his back is facing me, I'm going to try and seal his wounds!"
V was shocked at first, but nodded firmly. He ran over the the Maknae's body and held him up up Rapmon instructed.
"Suga hyung! Go get some water in the bus, I think I left some in my luggage!" Namjoon instructed.
Suga quickly agreed to his request and ran into the bus to retrieve the water. Rapmonster gulped and removed the youngest's shirt. Glass shards were sticking sharply out of his back, blood oozing from the wounds. Very cautiously, Namjoon took one of the shards and pulled it out. Jungkook groaned in pain but remained unmoving. The leader continued to repeat the process with all the shards. A few seconds later, Suga scrambled out of the bus, a water bottle in his hand. Rapmonster took it, and unscrewed the cap. He then slowly drizzled the water down Jungkook's back in order to clean the blood. When he was finished, Rapmonster took the jacket he had removed prior and tightly wrapped it around the youngest. He sighed in relief, that was the most stressful thing he had ever done.
"Guys!" Yelled Jin "I see the ambulance over the hill!"
Just as Jin said, the paramedics were there a minute later. They placed him Suga,V,Jimin,J-Hope, and Rapmonster on a separate ambulance for Jungkook's condition. All of them were rushed to the nearest hospital, but when they arrived, Jungkook was being transported away from the rest of the members.
"Hey..Wait!" Said Namjoon "Where are you taking him?!"
The nurse looked at him with a grave face and replied "Even though the glass shards were removed, major spinal damage occurred from the impact of the crash. He needs to be operated on."
Rapmonster looked at the Maknae's frail body and held his hand tightly, before begging the nurse quietly "Please...make sure he gets better. I'm not sure what we would do without him."
The nurse nodded and said "We'll do our best." Before taking Jungkook away to the operating room. The red "Operation in progress" turned on, and Namjoon was left alone in the waiting room. He leaned against the wall and began to cry

"That should be ME in there," he thought "Not him, it's MY fault..IM the reason this happened." But all he could do was wait, and stand there agonizing over the one who saved his life, Jeon Jungkook.
