Chapter 20:

Beth's POV

It's been 3 monthts since Sara's surgery and so far she's doing well. We have been keeping an extra close eye on her and everyone in the house is doing what they can to make sure she's okay but still has her space. Over these 3 months, Many things have happened. The boys did 9 sold out concerts, worked charities, traveled to Africa, where they completed their One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks) song. We were all incredibly proud of them. It has been crazy to see everyone grow up. Louis asked Sara to be his girlfriend one night while he was staying at the hosptial. She spent a good 2 weeks there recovering and every single night, Louis would be at her bedside. He would come home in the morning to shower, change and even get some rest, but as far as he was concerned, Sara was his number 1 priority. I went back to Ireland for a couple of days to see my family, Christina went back home to Canada for a couple of days, and Taylor even bought a new car. The boys are home for 4 months now, they're only doing a couple of concerts and signings here and there. Louis is 21, Niall, Erica, Harry, Christina, Sara and I are 19, Taylor is 18, and Liam, Jordayna and Zayn are 20. I was 15 when I moved to Ireland. It's been so long since the boys have become a band and we have already lived together for ever.

Everyone was sitting at the kitchen table talking about how old everyone is getting and how long everyone has been together. I saw Christina look at her phone, quickly type something, and then slowly leave the table and bolt upstairs. I looked over to Harry who looked at his phone and ran after her.

Christina's POV

"You wanted to talk to me?" Harry slowly walked in and closed the door.

"Yeah... um..."

"What's wrong?"

"Harry, I need to go back home. One of my family members isn't doing very well."

"You're coming back, right?" He looked like an upset puppy. My heart dropped to my ankles and I looked down.

"No, I don't think so. It's been an amazing year here and I have experienced more than I ever expected I would in my lifetime. This is really hard for me, Harry. I can't believe I'm saying this, but maybe we should break up. It's gonna be really hard to have a relationship from England to Canada. I love you, Harry. I really do. But it's time for me to go home. I'm leaving tomorrow evening." He put his hands to his head and tugged on his curls.

"NO! Please don't go! Please!"

I started to cry watching him get so upset. "I'm sorry, Harry. I am." I walked over to him and hugged him tight. We stood there for a while, I cried into his shoulder and I could hear him sniffling too.

We both washed our faces and walked back downstairs so I could announce the news that I was going back home. I sat back down at the table and everyone started staring at Harry and I. I could tell they saw something.

"Everything okay?" Jordayna asked.

"Yeah..." I said. "Actually, not really." Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked up at me.

"What's wrong?" Erica asked.

"I'm going back home."

"WHAT? WHY?" Sara yelled.

"One of my family members is sick and I need to go back home and see them. I don't think I am coming back here though... It has been a great year with you guys and I never want to forget any of it for the rest of my life. I love all of you guys with all my heart and it really upsets me that I have to go home, but I have no choice," I explained.

"When do you leave?" Beth asked.

"Tomorrow evening."

"WHAT?" Liam yelled. Harry looked down and I could still see the sorrow on his face and I frowned.

"Yeah. I'm really sorry. I just found out this morning." Everyone looked down.

"We're really going to miss you," Niall said.

"I'm gonna miss you guys too."

Liam's POV

"We're going to have to throw a going away party! You can't leave without a memorable goodbye!" I exclaimed. Christina laughed and every one agreed with me. We all decided to go to bed to get a good rest. The next day, we were going to go shopping and go to the bar at 5:00 because Christina leaves at 10:00 at night.

*Next day*

"MORNING!" Louis was up bright and early like usual. He was ready to go at 9:00 even though we were going shopping at 10:30. The girls were going to go one way and the guys were going to go the other way to get some new clothing for tonight's bar trip.

At the end of the day everyone had literally shopped until they dropped and couldn't take it anymore. We met up at 4:00 to get ready for the evening ahead. I bought a nice shirt and a new pair of True Religion jeans, Harry bought himself a black dress shirt and a pair of jeans from American Eagle, Zayn wore a leather jacket and a pair of black jeans with a white v-neck shirt, and I didn't see what Louis and Niall bought until later at the bar, but I was too drunk to remember any of that.

What I do remember though is coming home wasted out of my mind and pulling Erica, who was also incredibly intoxicated into my room. I pulled off her shirt and undid her jeans as she did the same to me. Everything else from that night was incredibly foggy.

Niall's POV

Beth was the only one who didn't have anything to drink because she had to drive Christina to the airport that evening. Christina had one drink. She was still able to party, but she knew she had to stay sober because she was leaving that night. I crawled into bed with Beth when she got home because it was storming outside and storms aren't my favourite thing. She fell asleep in my arms and didn't move for the entire night.

The next morning I walked downstairs and everyone looked like hell. Liam and Erica looked like they had been hit by a bus and everybody else just looked like their hangover hit them like a brick wall. I laughed but it hurt my head because the hangover struck me too. Erica looked the worst in my opinion. She seemed really upset and on edge like she didn't remember anything that was going on.

"Erica, are you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah... uh, yeah. I'm fine. I'm fine." I looked at her with disbelief but decided to just let it be.

Erica's POV

"Beth, can you come upstairs for a second?"

"Uh, yeah. Sure." She ran upstairs behind me and into one of the bedrooms and closed the door.

"Beth, I don't remember anything from last night. Seriously, the last thing I remember is going to Liam's room and that's it. I woke up and I wasn't wearing any clothes! Neither was Liam!"

"Shit, Erica. What do you think happened?" Beth asked.

"I seriously don't know. It better not be what I'm thinking..." I looked at her with fear as so many possibilities ran through my head. But I was stuck on one thought. The only thought that made sense.
