Chapter 34

Zayn's P.O.V.

We were finally home after all of that chaos. We gave our police statement but they said it wasn't necessary that we go to court because that guy wasn't a first time offender. It turns out that police have actually been trying to find him for atleast six months. I was relieved that I didn't have to be face to face with that guy hopefully ever again.

My arm was in a sling because of my collar bone and I was on close watch because of my concussion, along with everybody else who got hit in the head. Beth and Niall put most of their time and effort in helping us heal up.

"Hey guys, Niall and I are going to go shopping, is that okay? Will you guys be okay?" Beth asked. She was constantly concerned but nobody complained because we thought it was sweet. Everybody else was eating breakfast at the kitchen table.

"Of course, have fun you guys," Erica smiled. Niall and Beth thanked us, grabbed their stuff and walked out the door.

"Okay, we need to do something for Niall and Beth. They've literally done everything to make sure we;re healed, we need to pay them back," Sara said once we knew they were gone for good.

"Like what?" Liam asked.

"I agree with Sara, but what should we do for them?" I chimed in.

"Maybe we could pay for a really nice date for them?" Sara said.

"I like that, we can let them go out tonight. We'll just surprise them when they get back from the mall," Taylor said.

"Alright, it's settled," Sara smiled. We all smiled back at her and sat back in our chairs.

My head was starting to hurt so I picked up my plate with my good arm and brought it to the counter.

"Zayn? Are you okay?" Taylor asked. It was hard to put the words together in my head but I managed to put a sentence together.

"Yeah, my head just hurts, that's all," I brushed it off. I walked upstairs and went to lay down on my bed. My head was throbbing but I didn't want to tell anyone how bad it actually was. A couple minutes later I heard somebody open the door. My favourite voice rang through my ears, even though it hurt my head.

"Zayn, babe? Are you okay?" Taylor whispered. I opened my eyes slightly and lifted my head to smile at her. She just stood at the barely open door so I lifted my hand motioned for her to come in.

"Yeah, my head is just throbbing."

"Do you want me to call Beth?" She put her hand on my stomach.

"No, no that's okay. We don't need to take them away from their shopping," I sighed.

"I'm sure she would be okay with it."

"No, seriously Tay, don't worry about it. I already know I have a concussion, there's nothing more we can really do, thanks though," I smiled.

"Okay... I'll let you sleep then," she hesitated but got up and walked out of the room, shutting the door behind her. I fell into a solid sleep, not being able to hear anything that was happening around me.

We were running through a dark room trying to find our way out but every door was  shut and locked tight. The walls started to close in and there was no way out. I grabbed Taylor's hand as she dug her head into my neck. We slid down the wall, accepting the fact that the walls around us were closing in and we were going to die. Steve's laugh echoed as the room slowly decreased size. Tears were streaming down my face and Taylor was shaking beyond control in my arms.
