Chapter 8 The Dark Enemies

Me and onyx walked south and with no clear route it was until around dusk when two random satchels were dropped of by some sort of green and red bird with a note reading it was from saying she forgot to prepare us with proper maps and weapons and a that the bags are bigger than they seemed which I wondered what it meant but gave up and started a fire with my flint and steel I carried since I was little with my "family crest" on it and sat down after I got a good blaze going looked at onyx which looked a little depressed so I decided to spark up a conversation with him to cheer him up, so onyx are you good with any weapon I asked him he just syed and looked even more depressed so I stopped and just stared at the fire and decided to building a little stand to set a pot to boil some water for coffee.

I watched eldwin set up a little stand like thing to set his pot of water knowing that he was just trying to cheer me up I looked in my bag to discover a book and a Handle with tiny writing that read just in case pull for help and just then I heard a crack of stick breaking and looked up in where it came from waiting it didn't wait long before I heard another one, eldwin I think we have company I said as he looked up and looked around and watched behind me, their behind me to aren't they I asked, yea eldwin said pulling out his bow and handed me the magic dagger he had got in his bag and got somewhat ready before they attacked.

They were ugly mutated version of people looking creature twisted to look terrible the first shambled toward eldwin and the second half limping half running towards me Elwin let loose to arrows in to the ugly things skull before it fell dead with black goo like blood dribble out on the ground but was replaced with two more then I was attacked by what looked like a warped and twisted version of a women, she swiped at me with her razor like claws but I instinctively ducked and stabbed where her heart should be and kicked her back but she just got back up and charged but I was ready and twisted as she was going to tackle me and slammed the blade of the dagger into the things skull and watched as it didn't get up I looked towards eldwin in arm as I heard him roar and watched as he charged the arrow covered abominations with his hatches decapitating them in two clean swing and he stomped their heads into the ground for safety we were ready for more of the monster but we're surprised when an old looking man stepped out from behind a tree in a black cloak with a smile, you must be the one the prophecy spoke of my masters will be most pleased to see you both undead gifts for my master he said with a weazing voice and shot black looking electricity at me.

No I screamed and by instinct stood in front of onyx and stuck out my hand and what happened next was something I'd never forget, My body glowed green and a wall of stone rose up in front of me blocking the black lightning and I punched the air in front me sending the stone wall hurtling towards the man crushing him to death it took me a couple minutes for me to realize what I had just did I had used magic, earth magic. The twisted abominations started to melt into black smoke and disappearing leaving just imprints of what was laying their and I looked at my hands and my body which was still glowing I felt stronger,calmer and faster and looked at onyx how looked like he was about to pass out and came up with a solution hey onyx let's test out theirs bags.

I was tentative about me slipping into what eldwin called his satchel " The Infinite Bag" but coincided feeling the tiredness weigh on me like a blanket and claimed into the satchel which surprised both me and eldwin that I could actually fit into it, il stop and rest in an hour you just get some sleep I might need you to go gather wood of get into fight against something eldwin said with almost no emotion I fell asleep as soon as I laid on the floor of the now apparent sized inside of the bag.

I dreamt of a boy in red flying and laughing with a girl with shockingly snow white hair and perching light gray blue of eyes like ice and watched as eldwin came into view on a massive brown and green scaled dragon holding what looked like a green glowing golden axe but I didn't see me at all which worried me but I at least knew two things that eldwin and the other two people will be ok and this is all just a dream I hoped.

I had arrived at the base of the mountain waiting for the girl to come out of the cave she was living in i did not barge in because that is rude and I'm the 2nd to last of my kind and I had to lead an example to hopefully future generations of wizards, she came hours later with the twin daggers which were engraved with symbol of water or ice that is the same to the book of prophecy I had written and made an emergency copy I carried around with me since I lost the first book I calmly and slowly dropped from the tree I had been watching caves from.

hello child, she quickly tuned around to me surprised and though two throwing stars at me but I mearly brought my hand up and stopped them mid flight, I wish you no harm I'm here to ask you a question do you like here?, she looked at me with caution and curiosity no she replied sadly my half brother killed my parents and burned the house down and left me here she said almost in tears, it's ok young one i was sent here to get you and train you into becoming a warrior of unmatched skill that would surpass any man out there I said but my question is do you want to come live on my island ?, yes she said with a smile that which I saw hopelessness turn into burning determination , good my name is Whitestone and I will protect you I'm Mavis,Mavis sawyer.

it's very nice to meet you now it's time to go, and with that I summoned the power of the void a rare and powerful element to be able to wield and created a portal and held her hand and we both stepped through arriving at a my beautiful naturally made crystal tower but that was 3 years ago and she was 14 at the time I had left her a note and a list to keep her busy and productive I hope I can find the other three before the dark does.

I figured that I would try to use both eldwin and onyx in the chapter
