CHAPTER 7: He’s so full of surprises

I turned around and it was Justin.

“Y-Yea I g-g-guess” I stuttered.  “Don’t worry what he says, you’re special, really special and you’re not worthless to anyone” He said soothingly slowly sitting down next to me as I smiled and turned to him as we stared into each other’s eyes for what seemed like ages.. “Abi, are you ok?!” Hermione yelped as she, Harry and Ron ran in. “Yea I’m better now” I smiled turning to Justin who grinned back. Justin got up and pulled me up with him. “We better get back to dancing lessons; and this time your my partner” Justin smirked. “Sure thing”. I got up and followed the rest; I’m not used to being in Hogwarts with all the magic and all the new friends just yet, but with these four great friends, I know I feel welcomed. As we arrived back into the ballroom I saw Malfoy was talking with Professor McGonagall and it looks like Professor wasn’t happy at all. “Draco 10 points will be taken away from your house, that was unbelievably rude and for that you are going to be my partner and help demonstrate.” Professor yelled in an angry tone. I couldn’t help but laugh like everyone else. Malfoy was shocked and looked like he wasn’t looking forward to it. “Oh Justin I was looking for you” Yelled out Ginny running towards us. “Oh yea Ginny about being partners for lessons I’m going to be Abigail’s because she doesn’t really know anyone and she’s new so...” Replied Justin. Ginny had an angry look on her face and she looked at me with a glimpse of jealousy in her eyes as she walked away with a look of disgust. I looked up at Justin and he was grinning.

“Let’s Practise, shall we” He exclaimed. “OK class all the drama is over and we still need to continue with this lesson for the ball; everyone find reunite with your partners and find a space on the dance floor” Professor McGonagall beamed. Justin and I found our spot and started with a ballroom position. “Ok now everyone watch my very first 2 steps”. We watched as the Professor grabbed Malfoy hand and put it to her waist, as she did this everyone laughed. Professor gave a stern look and everyone went quiet. “OK do this after me, 1, 2, 3, and 4” She said calling the steps out while demonstrating. Justin grabbed my waist and I couldn’t help but blush as we copied the steps the Professor was demonstrating. Justin was a pretty good dancer to be honest. “Wow I never knew you were good at ballroom” “I come full of surprises” He replied as he smirked. “You’re not so bad yourself” he replied. “Pft, not so bad? Watch this” I grinned as I did a perfect twirl and I grabbed his hand while promenading as everyone watched and cheered. I grinned and did a few more tricks and added a back handspring and ended my ‘Routine’ with the splits noticing I went out of the dance genre ‘Ballroom’ and added a little jazz. I looked up at Justin and his mouth was dropped to the floor. I couldn’t help but chuckle. I turned to everyone else and they were all wide eyed. “Damn I never knew you could dance like that” Chaz yelled out I couldn't help but giggle and blush “Wow, you are...amazing” “Thanks Justin, you’re not so bad yourself” I said while I added a wink.  “Miss Potter, that was a very good dance and no one was expecting that but very well done; we have talent in this room though back to ballroom" Professor McGonagall announced.
