C 6 : The new kid

RYDER.

Ryder is studying in the same school as I am.

What did i do to deserve this ?

First he stole my phone and ran off with it , then he got my number without my permission, and now he's going to be sitting beside me in every class ( well, the classes held in the classroom ) .

Ryder was the new kid. Every teacher thinks that I'm his friend and keeps telling me to help him around. Why on Earth would I do that ? No one in the right mind would help a guy like Ryder!

I sit in the first row. The cheerleaders and the popular girls that sat at the back were staring daggers at me the whole day. They would kill to be in my position , well in this case, to be where I was sitting. Ryder thought they were checking him out , "Can't help it if I'm hot .." he shrugged.

I even felt annoyed just sitting beside him !

Even my friends ( girls , obviously ) seemed to be attracted to him .

Everybody starts talking to me when they found out I am acquainted with this guy.

The twins; Elise and Denise Tyler sat with me today during lunch. They were more eager to be introduced to Ryder . So were my other friends; Wyatt who is a year older than me (who is like a brother to me) and his younger sister Breena ( who is a year younger than me ) , Xavier ; another brother-friend, Rane -the girl who sits beside me in class and Jade the tough one.

Ryder became the new member of the group. Everyone liked him.

While I ate my food, they were talking non stop with Ryder. Ryder looked a bit bored at some point. I laughed. He deserved that !

Ryder loked at me and smiled. My gaze met his and I kept my eyes on my food.

Wait - was I blushing ? Nononoono- impossible !

He chuckled.

"What's so funny, Ryder? ", asked Rane.

"Your friend over there is turning red. " He laughed again.

"Kherri...." Everyone at the group table looked at me . I turned even more red.

"Awww !! Kherri has a crushhhh !! " , Elise said .

"NO ! Nononono! ", I tried to defend myself. But obviously failed.

Thankfully, i was saved by the bell.

ryder caught up with me on the way to class.

"Sorry for that.." he said ,smiling.

"Whatever.."

"You don't have a crush on me , do you?"

"Please ! Don't flatter yourself ! "

He pulled me to him and we walked to class together. I didn't mind him doing that. I let him go this time. Just once...
