C 24 : The start of something I never would have expected PART 3

Ryder bowed down and said, "After you, milady."

"How kind of you!" I made an 'oh why thank you' expression and I stepped into the house. Ryder went in after me.

Ryder steered me into the living room and said, pointing to the chair, "Have a seat." He put on a charming smile.

I sat down . "Ryder, wha- " I looked around . Great! Ryder disappeared.

I waited and waited and waited.....

Then I heard his voice. "She's in there."

"Okay!" Chirped Aurora.

Aurora came prancing into the living room, holding a flat white box as big as an ipad. The box was glittery and had a silver , a green and a pink ribbon. The ribbon was tied in a big bow.

It looked so beautiful!

I was lost in my daydream until I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Ummm.. Kherrington?" , Aurora called me.

"Y- yes ?"

"Here.." She handed me the beautifully decorated box. I took it from her and smiled.

"Thank you.", I said.

She smiled sweetly at me and said, "Ryder- I- I mean.. I mean.." She paniced for a moment there. I smiled at her encouragingly and when she recovered ,she said, "You can open it now, if you want. " then she ran away.

Aww.. She's so adorable !

I opened the box. I gasped. WOW !!!

I was speechless.. I was shocked.. I was amazed .. I was so surprised !

I gotta say, I didn't expect to find A SHINING SILVER MASK in the box!

I looked at the mask.

It was a beautiful shining silver mask with silver, white and green glitter. There were small green feathers at the edges of the mask. I can't stop staring at it ! The mask.. It's just so.... Wow !!!

"Wow..." ,that's all I managed to say.

"I take it you like the mask, then?" Ryder was leaning against the door, looking at me. His hands were buried in his jacket pocket and he looked so cool and hot. Wow... He put on the most charming smile ever.

"Yes, very much. Thank you."

"Don't thank me; thank Aurora. She paid half of what that cost and she was the one who chose it aaaand she tied the bow. She really likes you." He smiled sincerely.

I looked questioningly at Ryder . He shrugged. He smiled and motioned me to read the message.

Would YOU like to go to the dance with ME ?

P/s : sorry again about the rock... And the terrible day at the mall...

I didn't know what to say .. I was so .. So... I don't have any words to describe what I feel !!

"I don't know what to say-"

"Say 'yes' . C'mon.. How can you say 'no' to this," he poited at his face and grinned, "THIS face ??"

I laughed.

"So.. What's your answer?"

A smile crept onto my lips. "Definitely"

He relaxed a bit. "Wow- I was beginning to think you'd say 'no' "

I smirked, "well, how can I resist that face?" I pointed at Aurora ,who was standing at the door. Ryder turned to look at her.

She looked so innocent. Like an angel.

So, that's official ! Ryder and I are going to the dance together. Well, not exactly together, as we're not supposed to bring dates.

The dance is a day from now.

Yay! I'm so excited!!

Ryder said that we'll go to the dance seperately and once we're there, we'll find each other. Since everyone is supposed to wear masks, Ryder planned to wear a mask that matched with mine. He said, "Don't you worry, I promise; I'll find you. and remember; I'm the one wearing the same mask as you."

"and I'm the one wearing a dress."

This is going to be the BEST DANCE EVER !!
