Laila's POV

Arabella and I are sitting waiting to board our flight to Tucson. My nerves are kicking my ass. Arabella is extremely fussy today so her attitude is not helping. Belle said Sam will be having dinner with us tonight. I talked to Jacob about the situation, so I'm going to stop in Tucson for today, and tomorrow, he wants to meet Arabella and I have no problem with it. I haven't told her who he is yet, but I'm almost positive she has an idea.

"Mommy! I'm hungry! I want pizza!" It's 8 in the morning, but oh well pizza sounds great right now. I take her hand and we walk to a pizza place and buy some food. The call for our plane sounds through the airport. I grab her hand and walk to the gate.

"Mommy, Nino said that daddy is waiting for me. Is that real?" She questions. Fuck, I hate Sammy.

"Yes baby. Daddy is waiting for you. Let me buckle you. Then I'll put a movie on." I sat her by the window, and I sat in the isle. She looked out and was in ah. She fell asleep, so I took her movie and enjoyed.

The plane landed, and I could feel the butterflies in my stomach turn into knots. My mom was picking us up and then I would meet Jacob for lunch. Arabella has never met him, but I made sure to give her pictures of him and talk about him. Good things of course, he's not a bad person.

When we get our luggage I see my mom and Arabella runs to her. "Grandma!" She hugs.

"I know it's only been a few days, but I always miss you guys. Come on let's get home." She says reaching over and picking up Arabella. We get home 15 minuets later and settle in.

I pull out an outfit for Arabella and change her. "Is daddy gunna lub me like you do mommy?" She asks quietly.

"Baby, of course he is. Your probably the best thing that has ever happened to him. Here put your shoes on, we are already late." She obliges and I wrap a jacket around her. "Bye mom!" I tighten Arabella in her car seat and drive off.

We get to the rain forest cafe. I know it's so childish, but I wanted Arabella to be comfortable, and if things don't go well, she'll be distracted. When I pull into the parking lot, I see Jacob getting out of his G Wagon. Wow, he must be doing well.

"Ready baby?" I ask Arabella and she claps. "Ok remember, hold my hand until I let you go and you can call him daddy, but try to stay with me unless I say different. Ok?" She nods.

"Mommy it's too much to remember, and my brain is going to explode!" She face palms. "I'm so tired and hungry."

"Arabella, you just ate pizza 3 hours ago." I explain and she sighs.

"Mommy are we there yet, I wanna see daddy!" She yells.

"Ok ok we're here. Can you unbuckle yourself?" I ask her.

"No mommy." I get out and walk around to pull her out. I open the door and reach in to pull her out of her seat. My hands are shaky and I fumble with the buckle.

"Laila?" a voice behind me calls. 'Shit' I mutter under my breath. Turning a round I see Jacob standing there in disbelief.

"Hi." I breath out. Arabella pushes behind me and jumps out. She taps my leg. I look at her and nod.

"Daddy!" She runs into his arms and he hugs here. He pulls away and looks at her up and down. He picks her up and pulls me into a hug. My nerves settle and I hug him back.

"Let's get inside." We walk in and get seated. There is an awkward silence and I take out the envelope he gave me.

"Here Jacob, before we have a conversation. I don't need this, thank you though!" He gives me a confused look and I hand him the envelope.
