Chapter 3(October 31)
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMBER!” I heard many men yell, waking me up.
“Fuck you all, let me sleep!”
“Nope, get your little ass up because we made you food!” I heard Max say. I didn’t move for a while so someone picked me up and threw me over their shoulder.
“UNFAIR ADVANTAGE!” I yelled at Robert after he put me down. They had made me chocolate chip pancakes, my favorite breakfast, “Who made these?” I asked taking a bite.
“I did!” Monte said enthusiastically.
“Thank you Mr. Money!” I said got up and hugged him and sat back down. Then there was a knock on the door, Max got up to get it. When he opened the door his face went white and he stayed quiet. Then the person entered without an invitation.
“Hello, Amber.” Ronnie said staring at me. I automatically got up and ran to the back lounge and closed the door.
“Sweetie! Open the door, it’s me, Max.” I heard, unlocked the door and Max barged in closing and locking the door behind him and pulled me into a hug.
“Why the hell is he here?” I asked.
“He wanted to apologize.”
“I don’t want him near me or talking to me!” I told him.
“I’ll go tell him then.” He said and left. Moments later HE walked in.
“Amber, I’m so sorry for all that I put you through! I just want to make it up to you so we can go back to being friends, please!”
“Ronnie, don’t do this to me, please, I can’t forgive you, and there is nothing that you can do that will make me change my mind.” I said backing away, scared he might hit me.
“Please, you’re the only one who was there for me when I needed it, and I know what I did to you was horrible-“
“Ronnie, what you did made me lose all of my trust, respect and love for you!” I said with tears streaming down my face.
“L-love?”
“Yes, Ronnie I loved you! But now, I never want to see you again!” I said.
“Um, wow, ok then I guess I’m gone.” He said and walked out the door. That’s when I broke down. Craig came over and pulled me into a hug, why did it hurt so badly? Wasn’t this what I wanted? Ronnie, the cause if my pain, was out of my life for good. Ronnie, my best friend was out of my life for good.
“What happened?” I heard a deep voice ask.
“Guess, Andy.” Craig said.
“Ok, I can take it from here?” said the voice again and then Craig looked me in the eyes and walked outside. I looked up to see Andy standing there with a sympathetic look on his face, “You ok?” He asked.
“No, and I honestly don’t know why.” I told him.
“Because you’re reliving the pain of that night.” He said hugging me.
