Chapter 4 Tonks

"Andromeda! Oh, I'm horribly sorry!" I hear someone say. Remus? What the hell is he doing here? "I was trying to apperate to your front lawn. I wanted to talk to Tonks, but I was a bit distracted. I really didn't mean to apperate into your kitchen."

"Remus, it's fine." Mum says. "You can stay for breakfast if you'd like." Just then I walk or rather burst through the back door soaked up to my knees, leaving a trail of water behind me.

"Mum! What ha-" then I see him. I don't know what I was expecting. I already knew him by his voice. "Did you?.... What happened?" I ask. Mum answers me. "Remus wanted to talk to you Dora. I've invited him to stay for breakfast. Now you two run along and chat while I clean this up."

Together we walk outside, careful not to stray too far from the house.

"Tonks, I just wanted to say..." He stops. "I don't know what to do Tonks. I feel like I'm of no use to the Order. I feel like you're the only person that would understand. I don't know why..." "Well I do." I interrupt. "You came to me cause no one takes me seriously either. They all think I'm too young." The last words put a bitter taste in my mouth.

"I take you seriously." He says. I look up at him with a question in my eye. "Do you? Do you really? Because everyone says that" "Yes, I really do." He answers. I can tell he's being honest. Remus just doesn't have it in him to lie to me. He never has. That's one of the reasons I trust him....

"So, how's work?" He asks after a while. "Ah, you know. Same as always. Well, after the badger I suppose it's been a bit different." I sigh. "Badger?" I think I've really caught his attention with this last remark. "Yeah, the badger. Didn't you hear?" "No. Tell me." I frown.

"I um... found a badger that had been transfigured wrong. I mean really wrong. Irreversible. His front half was still mostly badger but his end had been partially turned into a guinea pig. I took him home and tried to make him comfortable. Feed him, give him a place to rest. I knew he wouldn't last long, but I took it really hard when his time finally came. I went into work the next day really unstable and broke into tears at almost everything. It wasn't like me at all. I'm usually pretty tough. I don't know why I'm telling you all this..." I turn away scared he might laugh. It really isn't like me to get emotional about things like that.

Just then Mum calls us back. "Nymphadora! Remus! Breakfast is ready!" I'm amazed my mood can turn so easily, but honestly. That name. It's just so stupid. Nymphadora, please. I could've been called anything in the world but it had to be Nymphadora.

"What is it?" He asks. "My. Stupid. Name!" I furrow my brow and trudge back towards the house. He follows.
