Chapter 5 Remus

"I'd best be off." I say. "Thanks again for breakfast!" "Anytime Remus. Just don't apperate right into the kitchen next time." Andromeda smiles at me.

I stand up and offer my hand to Tonks. Maybe she didn't see it, maybe she's just ignoring me. She pushes her chair back not taking notice of my small gesture of courtesy. I walk to the door quietly and she follows me.

"I'll see you in three days unless something comes up." "Alright. See ya." She shoves me out the door and closes it. She's confused me a lot in the past hour or two. I can't help but be amused with her.

As I disapperate I feel the need to be alone. I go to the first place that come to mind. Loneliness is a funny thing. I try my best to hide it when I'm around people. It's hard trying to constantly pushing away these feelings in order to be strong for someone else.

I've apperated to an open field. There's a forest full of huge trees to the left and a small hill straight ahead. The grass is brown and about waist high waving back and forth in the wind. It smells like its going to rain.

I start to walk into the woods and I remember when I'd been here before. No wonder this place came to mind at the thought of loneliness. I sit down on a patch of moss and cover my face with my hands. It feels like someone squeezed all the air from my lungs and it hurts when I try to breathe.

I don't know how long I sit here, but the sound of voices and twigs snapping shake me. Trying to take deep breaths, I stand up and hide behind the nearest tree. I take out my wand ready for almost anything.

After all, this is the place I watched my father get killed.
