Nick's POV

I watched Storm walk into her house, she flinched before opening the door. When she did fear washed over her beautiful face. Her face paled as she backed up quickly and ran. I ran after her, it took all of my willpower not to turn around and attack whatever was in that house that scared her, but I have no time for that I had to calm down my mate before anything else. I heard her loud crys as she fell to her knees, giving in and placing her face in her hands.
My wolf growled at how broken she was, he wanted revenge from whatever caused this. 'Go kill them' he demanded, I disagreed and stood behind Storm. "Doll?" I asked, "What do you want?" She snapped. I looked down at her with loving eyes. "Are you ok what happened?" I continued to question and she went silent. "Nothing" she sighed getting up and staring out at the water wiping away her salty tears. "What happened? And tell the truth" I demanded. She sighed "Tonight is full moon, and when it's full moon fin folk change, and become violent. My parents are already preparing and they threatened me to stay away with a knife"she choked back a sob "And every time the full moon comes, they come close to murdering me or my brother". I stared at her in disbelief, I couldn't fix this problem, unless she let me kill her parents. "Why doesn't it happen to you?" I asked her. She looked me in the eyes and and answered "Because I am not mated, it only happens to mated fin folk" she said in a 'duh' tone.
I almost replied to that with 'That can change' but I stopped myself.
I looked at her, it hurt to see her struggle. It hurt for her not to like me, all this girl could cause was hurt until she accepted me.
She got up and made her way down the beach. I stared at the back if her head as if it had a big blob of seaweed on it. I huffed and continued to follow her to my condo.
A/n: sorry guys but I am putting a 2 POV on this chapter sorry again for the stupidity of me but I will give you extra pancakes at the end :))

Storm's POV

I stared at the ceiling of the condo unable to sleep. I had taken Nick's iPod away from him to find the song I use to sleep on full moons, to remind me that life wasn't always that bad. I listened to the lyrics as I hummed along with the lyrics of the song lullaby.

I listened to the song by Nickleback over and over again but I couldn't fall asleep. The door to the bedroom opened slightly for me to see a restless Nick. He had been sleeping on the couch. "What's wrong, why aren't you sleeping?" He complained pointing to the clock by the bed that read 1:30 a.m., I sighed. "I can't sleep" I retorted, Nick smirked and sat beside me looking at the song that was playing. "You like that song?" He chuckled deeply, I nodded and snapped 'What's wrong with that?'. He sighed and faced me, "Nothing it is just that is my favorite song." He said and started to sing the words. It was hypnotizing as he sung. I laid my head in my pillow and closed my eyes, listening to the heavenly voice that sung. I felt blackness take me over as he sung the last verse, "So just close your eyes.Oh, honey here comes a lullaby.Your very own lullaby.Oh, honey here comes a lullaby,Your very own lullaby".

Nick's POV

I am restless, I have found my mate and she was humming in the bedroom to what sounded like a Nickleback song. She never hit me as that kind if girl. I got up off the couch and walked to the bedroom. "What's wrong why aren't you sleeping?" I complained gesturing towards the click that read 1:30 a.m. "I can't sleep" she snapped sassily, I smirked and sat beside her looking at what song she was listening to. "You like that song?" I asked her referring to the song playing on my iPod. She stared at me and snapped "What's wrong with that?". I shook my head and answered her "Nothing it is just my favorite song" and I started to sing the words to her and she fell asleep on the last verse.
I looked down at her kissing her forehead before leaving the room, I hope she doesn't reject me. I prayed to the moon goddess that she wouldn't.
