Nicks POV

I stared up at the ceiling mumbling curse words to myself, of course I lost my mate I was never good enough for her anyways. I felt her link open through mate bond I left her alone until I couldn't take it.
'Storm can I speak to you?' I begged, god this girl would be the death of me. I have never had this much sadness laced in my voice, EVER. 'What?' A voice hissed, but somewhere in that voice was sadness. 'Please come back' I whimpered. 'I'm sorry, but I can't ok?' She cooed. 'Please?' I argued 'No' She roared and shut our link.
I huffed in anger and paced outside. I faced the ocean and looked out at the distance. 'This is all your fault' my wolf mused 'You rushed her'. 'Whatever you weren't any help either' I snapped back at my wolf. 'Whatever' he huffed and went deep into the back of my mind pulling up small memories of Storm.
I knew she was somewhere out in the deep blue sea, her scent is long gone however. The heavenly smell of vanilla and an ocean breeze was missed by my senses. I walked outside slamming the door as hard as possible. I looked out at the ocean with curious eyes only to be rewarded with a few dolphins jumping over the water and couples walking along the beach. "You are coming with me!" I turned to see who projected the voice that was familiar. "Huh? Who are you?" I questioned, without getting an answer the girl dragged me to a small house.
The house had a strong scent of Storm and fish. Had Storm been here before?

Ada's POV

I looked around the beach, where is Storm? She needs to come back, I need to find her. I am going to set out tomorrow with my mate, Forest, to find her. I looked around waiting for him we were going to go find signs I her nearby tonight. I snapped my head to the direction of a slammed door. I saw a familiar person, Storms mate. I stomped up to him and snapped at the top of my lungs "You are coming with me". "Huh? Who are you?" Not replying to his question I dragged him to Storms house. The scent of fish hit me when I walked in, dang mermaid smell. "What up fish-sticks?!" I screeched "I'm homeeeeeee!". "Ok fish breath" Storms mom Carrie sung back. I smirked and snapped with content back "I smell better than your tail". Mrs. Carrie gaped at me "You didn't". "I believe I did" I winked at her and sat next to Storms brother Clay motioning Nick to sit next to me. "Who is this young man?" Mr. Jimmy asked with a raised eyebrow. "Uhh this is Storm mate?" I said like it was a question. Storms mate stared down at the counter breathing in deeply. "Is this true son?" Mr. Jimmy questioned. "Yes sir" he said letting out a shaky breath. "What species are you?" "Werewolf" "What is your name boy?" "Nick" he growled lowly clenching his fist. "Ok..." Mr. Jimmy trailed off when Mrs. Carrie touched his shoulder and whispered into his ear. He tensed up then relaxed, mates have that effect on you, unless you try to resist them. Even if you try to resist it still has some amount of effect. I sighed, who would try to resist their mate?
I sighed lowly and smiled, I am so happy I have found my mate.
A/N: well Ada is in in that her best friend resisted her mate sadly....
Nicks POV

I stared at the cool marble counters as the family talked about finding Storm and played monopoly. I tugged on the 15 year old boy's sleeve coming up with an excuse to leave the room. He looked a lot like Storm, I could see they were siblings. "Where is the bathroom?" I questioned. "Upstairs down the hall the second right" he mumbled, "I am on top of the game" Ada announced stepping on top of the monopoly board. Everyone chuckled to her silliness, she can easily lighten the mood.
I followed Clay's directions to the bathroom and stood in front of the door sniffing the air. I smelt Storms scent it was strong. I followed it into a room that was obviously hers by the small painting with storm clouds around the edges and an ocean in the middle on the door with her name on it. I checked the hall before entering and closing the door behind me. The room was dark, so I couldn't take in much except for a bed and a dresser. I walked to the bed and stuffed my face into one of Storms pillows, involuntarily as if my body had a mind of its own. In an instant I fell asleep.
I stared into the distance with curious eyes to be rewarded with a small wooden cabin. I heard laughing, it sounded heavenly and in an instant I knew it was my mate. I followed the sound only to see her with another man. I growled loudly and then most surrounded me bringing me to a small field. I looked around to see a woman, I felt like bowing down at her very presence. Giving in to the feeling I should bow I dropped to one knee.
A small chuckle came from the woman who radiated power,"Stand child I must speak to you about your mate". "S-Storm?" I stuttered, the woman nodded and spoke "Yes, the one I have chosen for you my child. She is... different. You see she thinks the reason you cannot be together is because if an offspring that you are destined to have. A hybrid, between mermaid and werewolf." She sighed and continued.
"She doesn't understand that she is a special mermaid, the sea gods chose her for a destiny, long waited by profits. She is to defeat the dark side of the ocean, the side that has followed the reckless ways of the sharks . Now you might understand why you need to let her go when she needs you too, because if you don't she will be forced to pay the price. As well as her kind. Now child our time is being cut short. Goodbye now and remember all of these things" the fog disappeared and I was in Storms room again. Just then did I realize that was the moon goddess. I moved my hand and felt a rough item. I looked under my hand to see a seashell with a small note. 'Believe' the small note said sparkles surrounded the shell. Only then did I beleive the dream was completely real, I had not imagined it.
A small knock was at the door, "Come in" I allowed the person to come in. "Hey sweetie I didn't know if you were asleep sorry if I woke you" Storms mom smiled sweetly. I gave her a small smile back and replied "It's fine I need to get going anyways". Carrie shook her finger "No the least I can do is let you stay the night in Storms room tonight. I know how hard it is to leave mate even for a small amount of time". I nodded and thanked her, "Least I can do goodnight" she beamed at me and left the room. I turned my head into one if Storms pillows and breathed in deeply, only to be rewarded by a deep dreamless sleep.
