Chapter 12

Storms POV

"Hurry up with your stupid tan" I commanded Ada. "Hey I need a tan I am pale" she insisted. "Whatever," I sighed diving to the depths of the ocean with light reflecting off my tail. I took in small breathes as I flew deeper into the salty water. I felt caution over take my emotions as a small flash of cold water surrounded me. Deja vü much?

I looked around with courious eyes only to be rewarded with the sight of a bull shark. His eyes are filled with anger and mercilessness, you can tell he has murdered many and will kill more. That more starting with me if I can't find my powers out NOW.
I stared at the oversized fish with teeth and shook with fear. I opened my link when he came forward, 'Ada there is a shark right in front of me' I said with a shaky voice.

'What?! Swim away as fast as you can now! I will follow the rainbow you leave behind don't worry about me!' Ada commanded and I didn't hesitate to follow the command, flicking my hand to turn and swim away, only to see the shark flip over and his eyes darken in anger. Oh, great, I am for a wonderful swim for my life.

I turned blasting through the water, with the bull shark on my tail. I screamed with no sound coming out of my mouth only bubbles. My tail flapped faster than a high speed boat's propeller. The shark still caught up with me.

It's mouth snapped at my tail trying to make me stop. Adrenaline coursed through my veins. I began pushing to go even faster to get away from the shark.

All of my efforts to get away failed. The shark bit me. I began to lose blood, and fast.

Little black and purple dots clouded my vision and I went slower. Blackness took over my vision and my body went numb. Only then did I realize I am blacking out.

Brown and blue blurs floated in front of me. My eyes looked around frantically and I attempted to move. Only then did I notice I am tied up. I closed my eyes and opened them again. All I saw was dirt and more people. I knit my eyebrows together, why am I here? Slowly the memories of what happened earlier flooded into my mind.

I have been kidnapped by a shark. Why did he not eat me? Am I going to be brainwashed? Am I going to die? A small voice stopped my thoughts and my head shot up to meet grey eyes. "What?" I croaked with a small voice. "Are you their prisoner, or next snack?" The small girl asked, she had to be no older than eight years old. Her blonde hair is in greasy knots on her head. The girls grey eyes have no life or sparkle as a little girl's should. Her skin looked as if it was just hanging off her bones.

"I-I don't exactly know. Why?" The girl looked at me and opened her mouth but nothing came out and she shook her head. Obviously avoiding my question.

I sighed and looked down waiting for something to happen. Everyone stayed silent. Watching me. Waiting. Hoping for me to lose it.
I didn't even bother to observe anyone, I will die anyway. I opened my link mentally slapping myself when I didn't do that in the first place. For a while nothing happened but my thoughts filled my head until a croaked dry voice sounded off in my head. 'Storm? Your here? Your alive?! Ohmygod you gave me a heart attack where are you I swear I am going to rip apart whoever took you'. I easily knew that was Nick. 'I am fine. And calm the heck down ok?' I didn't risk saying curse words when he is in alpha mode. I can feel his anger and power just by using mind link with him.

' Where are you?' He asked, more questions. Great. 'Oh you know walking the yellow brick road with Dorothy, Scarecrow, and Tin Man, Cowardly Loin too.' I snapped, I have no time for stupid questions its obvious I don't know where I am. I was kidnapped and I have been knocked out. Jeez.

'This isn't a joke, please tell me. I need to know' he begged. I rolled my eyes and replied 'I don't know where I am ok? I have been knocked out for only the sea gods know how long! Why are you even trying to help? I though I already put my point across. We cant be together.' I snapped with anger laced clearly in my link. A small part of me felt horrible for treating him like this but I had to. I need to. I can't let a hybrid be born. I don't want my child to be cursed and hunted. I can't let that happen. If that means doing this to Nick, then I will.

A small whisper told me he forgave me, and understood why I was doing this. 'You don't need to protect me from yourself.'
I thought for a second and replied, 'You obviously don't know the circumstances,' then shut the link.
