Chapter 10

Storms POV

"Hurry up with your stupid tan" I commanded Ada. "Hey I need a tan I am pale" she insisted. "Whatever" I sighed diving to the depths of the ocean with light reflections off my tail. I took in small breathes as a dove into the salty water. I felt caution overflow my emotions as a small flash of cold water surrounded me.
I looked around with courious eyes only to be rewarded with the sight of a bull shark. His eyes are filled with anger and mercilessness, you can tell he has murdered many and more to come starting with me if I can't find my powers out NOW. I stared at the oversized fish and shook with fear I opened my link when he came forward and called Ada, 'Ada there is a shark right in front of me' I said with a shaky voice.
'What?! Swim away as fast as you can now! I will follow the rainbow you leave behind don't worry about me!' Ada commanded and I listened flicking my hand on the way, only to see the shark flip over and his eyes darken in anger. Oh great I am for a wonderful swim for my life.
I turned blasting through the water, with the bull shark on my tail. I screamed with no sound coming out of my mouth only bubbles.
My eyes shot open. I am panting heavily and I ran to the bathroom to throw up. The dark birch wood floors and walls creaking. Ever since I left Nick I have had dreams like this and each time I do Ada and Forest try to get me to go back but I don't. I refuse, each time they ask why I say 'Because I can' and ignore them.
I emptied my stomach into the toilet and sighed when I heard Ada's voice. "If you go back to Nick I will let you eat your weight in skittles. If you don't I will feed you Activia and fish sticks" Ada threatened to feed me my least favorite foods. I managed to shake my head "Go ahead feed it to me I won't go". I watched her leave out if the old wooden bathroom and waited for torture to be fed to me.
(A/N) I actually do hate fish well eating them... And I am allergic to activia and any other girly diet stuff I don't need it anyways with how much I am outside:P ~love skittlebabe ;)

After two minutes of being alone to entry my stomach Ada came in with fish sticks and Forest obviously just woke up to see what's going on and was forced to bring up activia.
I groaned in frustration only to stop in mid-groan to barf up yet another bag of skittles.
Forest stared at me with sympathy and placed the activia down by me and mumbled 'I'm sorry' and walked out of the small bathroom. Ada sighed and stared at me and I stared back. We said nothing and being the great best friend I am I knew what she was doing, thinking of a plan. "Go to bed" she ordered with sirens voice. I bit my lip and made my way to my bed and fell asleep. Only to be disturbed by one of the sea gods, Emerald. How nice of her to stop by what does she want to borrow some sugar. Of course it's always more complicated than that.
Nicks POV

I know I should be surprised my mate was pulled to shore by her friends that just swam for about five hours and was still asleep. But no, I'm not. She is snoring her head off and has a starfish attached to her face. How much more comforter able can you get while having Patrick Star on your face?
I paced my way to Storm and shoved Ada and Forest out of the way to hold her close. Finally my mate is back and I feel while again.
I looked up to see I wasn't in the beach staring at my gorgeous mate but on a cloud. I snapped my head down when I heard sobs screaming the word 'no' over and over. I looked down soon another cloud in the night sky that held no stars not moon.
"Child it is alright. You are strong enough you can defeat Deferch, and have the hybrid child we have been awaited for millions of years. You are the one to be the mother of The One. Please accept your destiny unlike the others before you. All of the gods know her destiny, unlike you my child. Who merely look upon the past of one hybrid. Accept this gift and use it only in time of need you will know when to use it, and use it wisely" a woman explained with power radiating off of her. Her blonde hair in small kinks and her skin pale and sparkling. She is beautiful but would never effect me as much as Storm would.
I thought hard for a moment. Questions swirled on my mind and failed to be answered. Why am I here? How did I get here? What are they talking about? Is there a taco shop around here? Ok don't blame me for the last on I am hungry I haven't eaten for three days.
Storm nodded wiping her years and took a small dolphin shaped locket out of the woman's hands. As soon as she did everything faded into darkness and I was magically back on the beach staring at a wide-eyed Storm. But not until one last whisper sounded in the vision, I believe in you child of the ocean.

I stared at Nick in shock. He had bags under his eyes and his muscles had shrunk his hair lost its healthy glow and was greasy and messy. His sea green eyes full of hope and love. But his odor said something else. Instantly the snappy side of me acted. "Get off of me you reek of dead fish and" I paused and sniffed the air. "Fish sticks!".
He didn't seem fazed by my outburst but instead hugged me like the world and his life depended on it. Tingles erupted through me like a firework being set off. I couldn't help but smile. And a small line from my dream replayed in my head, 'Accept your destiny unlike the others before you'. I pursed my lips and took in a deep breath getting ready to do what's right, hoping I didn't make a mistake for this. I opened my mouth this is the moment I will choose to take my destiny or leave it all behind and take defeating Deferch the evil se god my only priority.
"I Storm Danielle King accept you, Nick Dean, as my mate. To keep you by my side forever and love you more than I possibly can love any other". The air in me instantly was squeezed out by how tight Nick hugged me. "Thank you" he beamed at me. The world around me didn't matter all that matters to me now is him.
I closed my eyes feeling the sea goddess Emerald smile at me brightly for my actions. I couldn't help but mentally smile back at her.

"'Cause baby your a fire work someone show 'em what your worth. Make 'em go uh uh uh as you shoot across the sky-y-y. Boom boom boom boom even brighter than the moon moon moon. Boom boom boom even brighter than the moon moon moon" I sang. This is the last song I am going to sing for Nick. This is the thousandth one.
He smirked "Just one more". "Nope and I am going to bed, sleeping while your friends drag you across the ocean for five hours is pretty tiring" I joke and stuff my face in the pillow that smelt of chili hot dogs. I crinkled my nose and shot up facing Nick. "You ate on my favorite pillow" I scolded and got up jumping on the bed hitting him with it "Now I need new pillows".
"Sorry but that was your brother he ate in here I ate downstairs like a good boy" he laughed. "You still owe me new pillows" I pouted and fell asleep curling into a ball.
Blackness overwhelmed me as I was taken into a dream. A revolting man stood before me. His skin covered in slimy black scales and large, visible, gills in his neck. A grey shark fin grew out of his spine and had a bite off the top. His face held many scars and no scales at all and his black beady eyes held much hatred and amusement. His smirk easily showed how evil he is.
"Hello Storm Danielle King. I have been waiting for your arrival" he chuckled although it sounded like a bird dying. His voice sounded as if I took a knife and dragged it actors a rock with all of my possible strength.
"What do you want? And who are you?" I spat out at him. His dying bird laugh filled the room again except louder, "Do you not recognize me child? The one of your nightmares everyday of your life since you can remember. I am Deferch, the god of the sharks and the evil god of the seas. The ruthless ruler, the one everyone fears" he explained as if he were talking to a five year old. And trust me if I was one I would have to change my pull-up. But I haven't peed my pants, and for that I am thankful.
"You don't scare me" I lied, and it was obvious too with the shake in my voice. His cold voice filled the darkness, "Nice lie sweetie but that's not true. I am in your worst nightmares where your scream fills the night. That is how I get entertainment. That is how I get information about the destined one'a greatest fear".
How did he know about my destiny? How did he even know I accepted it? I bit down in my lip pearling accidentally. As if he was reading my mind he answered my questions," I know of your destiny because it is written in the scrolls. You are meant to accept it, and I know you did because you are with your mate".
I can feel the anger pulsing inside me. I was about to burst with power flowing through my veins. Fire burst out of my hands. I stepped forward and threatened Deferch. "Listen you will leave me alone until my destiny meets with yours. Until then shut up and leave me alone" my dram slowly faded into the back of my eyelids. I opened my eyes to reveal Nick's worried face, along with my parents and my little brother Clay.
"What?" I wondered, already knowing I was screaming in my sleep. I do that every time I have a dream about Deferch. Every time I dream of my fear, the fear I must overcome soon.
"You were screaming Storm" Clay mumbled and hugged me. A small growl came from Nick. I stared at him and scrunched my nose and my lips followed the action. "Shut it wolf boy". Nick nodded listening to my request and I pulled Clay away from me to look him in the eye. "Why have you eaten chili dogs in my room? Most importantly on my bed and dropped it on my pillow?"
Clay instantly turned to Nick "You told you bro sweared" he exclaimed. Nick smirked, "Sorry man I can't lie to your sister. She dazzle frazzled me" he said making up the last two words. I crunched up my nose and lips again. "All I did was say you ate on my pillow and you threw it on my brother" I wiped a fake tear "Your growing more like me everyday" I even managed to make my voice crack as if I was really crying.
Clay smirked "Perhaps I can tell Storm what you have done to her... Well you know" he winked and flashed his pearly whites at Nick my parents laughed in amusement. Nicks face was priceless but then I realized they were talking about MY STUFF! "What has he messed with Clay?" I questioned pulling him onto the bed to sit beside me" I had to trail them off from my dream and seems like I have done just that.
Clay smiled when Nick shook his head and handed him twenty dollars. "Nothing of your concern fishy one" Clay insisted slipping the money into his pocket. I sighed and shook my head slowly. I am going to have to get that out of Nick better.
"Now what was your dream about sweety?" my mom asked me. I sighed and made it a simple one worded answer, "Deferch". My mom rolled her eyes as I snuggled myself under my snow white fluffy blanket that held a few skittle stains and closed my eyes. I listened to the shuffling of feet and sighs until the door closed. I felt myself drift into a unconsciousness. With the dream of endless skittles and oceans, which I dream about when I am happy. And for the first time a person was also in that dream, Nick.
Then in the back round music played and my dream self sung along to Im Yours.

Who expected that? I have a HUGE idea for the next chapter so please sit back and wait! :) Don't think this is the end of the book no probably about twenty more chapters....
