(Y/N) POV

"(Y/N).. (Y/N).." Someone shook my shoulders as I woke up. I groaned and rubbed my eyes, "What?"

"We're here." I open my eyes and see Travis with a smile on his face. 'Adorable.' I immediately shake the thoughts out of my head and stand up to see a beautiful dock that looks like it leads up to a village. My eyes sparkle and my heart warms up for some reason. 'Wow'

"Come on slow poke! Let's go!" Travis yelled, getting off of the boat.

"I'm coming!" I said back running towards him to get off also.

As we walked up to the village I was astonished. It was so clean and everyone was happy. No one had worries and everyone was enthusiastic. Of course, no one really greeted me. I was only an odd person with a hood covering most of my face after all. I frowned at the thought and kept moving forwards with Travis and the others.

Everyone went into this beautiful house and Laurence took a nap. Even though I didn't know him that much I could tell he took his job seriously with guarding Aphmau. After all, once he laid on the couch he was out cold.

I could see Travis walking up to me from the corner of my eye so I turned towards him. He slightly smiled at me and said, "Aphmau said we should probably rest. But I don't think you're tired.. so when I am taking a nap, take a look of the town."

I frown and shake my head no. I didn't want to be alone. "Don't worry everyone here is nice. There's no pressure here, it's a pretty relaxed village." I again shake my head no and respond, "I don't want to. I said I would stick with you."

He chuckled and replied, "Just try, for me." 'Now what..' I sighed and finally gave in. He probably didn't want me to stick by him any longer. He smiles at me and pats my head before mumbling a thank you and going up the stairs.

I stare at the ground for a few seconds before going out the door and meeting the fresh air. I used to be alone all the time but because I was with Travis for a while I forgot what it felt like to be alone. I sighed and kicked a rock, following where it went. Somehow this calms me down but I am not sure why.

I could feel eyes on me as I followed the rock. I quickly swing my head back to see a man with black hair and a jacket. "Hey," He said looking at me. I mumbled hi back and went back to kicking the rock. Talking to people was not my strong point. To be completely honest I was terrible at it.

I could still feel his presence behind me and I got the courage to say something, "Why are you following me?" 'IDIOT! I didn't mean to say it like that..'

"Because you remind me of myself."

"Yourself?" I ask stopping and turning to face him.

"Yeah. Always hiding my identity by wearing a hood over my head. Trying to keep my emotions in control.."

"Your not wearing your hood now."

"Yeah well that's because I can trust them now."

"Ah." I say looking down at my shoes.

"You should really meet people around this village, it's more interesting than you think." That's the last thing he said before he disappeared into the background.

I sighed, 'Wouldn't hurt to at least explore.' I looked at the village and started walking there.

~

My only thought was 'Beautiful' as I was walking around. When I came to this merchant shop place I found a hill with pretty trees towering over it. I decided to explore and walk up the hill. I stopped and face the astonishing statue of Lady Irene. For some reason this statue made me feel broken inside.. like everything in my heart was empty.

I reached out my hand and my fingers grazed the statue, and my eyes started stinging. "Excuse me?" I hear a voice that makes me turn around to face him. I see a man with blonde hair and blue eyes, Levin. "S-Sorry Lord Levin! I didn't mean to intrude if this was off limits!" I bow and straitened up to look at him.

"N-No," Levin stuttered, obviously surprised, "It's not off limits. I was just heading up here to see the statue of Lady Irene.. and you were just here and I didn't want to intrude or anything-"

I cut him off and say, "No. I was just looking. My name is (Y/N) by the way.. just thought you would want to know." I stare at my shoes as I scold myself for being so dumb.

"I guess you already know my name," He nervously laughed, "So, did you hear about the wedding?"

"The wedding?"

"Yeah.. there is going to be a wedding tomorrow and we need to set it up. The bride loves Lady Irene and we thought we should set it up near here."

"Ah.. Is everyone attending?"

"Yeah. Everyone in Phoenix Drop is attending, don't worry we already asked if you could come. She said it would be a pleasure to you to attend."

I smile and nod. I have never attended a wedding before but everyone says it's fantastic.

We ended up talking for a while and getting to know each other better. I learned that Aphmau was not really his mom but she raised him. I also found out that Aphmau went to the Irene Dimension which was very interesting.

After a little longer I head back to get some sleep. Levin pointed me into a direction of a tree I could sleep in for as long as I wanted to. I walked to a bed that was empty and sighed. Today was exhausting but kind of fun at the same time. I cant remember the last time I have felt so happy getting to know someone. Levin is so kind and generous that I cant believe that he is actually a lord. I thought lords were mean and wanted war, but in this case I was wrong. I laid down and pulled the cold sheets over me letting the dark swallow me once again.
