Chapter 7

"Well... Um..." I said not knowing what to say. "Well...I kinda..." I was trying to start my sentence but was quickly interrupted by Colleen, "Ari kissed my brother"... oh my goodness. "You did what?" Ricky said surprised. "Yeah... but as I was just telling Colleen nothing happened." I said completely lying to him. "Ok... well, I'm just gonna let you two talk." Ricky said as he awkwardly left the kitchen.

"I can't believe you just said that!" I said to Colleen. "I'm sorry. I was trying to help. I couldn't think of anything to say." Colleen said with a worried look on her face. " It's ok, I understand. Just on question." I said. "Yeah?" Colleen replied. "What's gonna happen if Ricky say something about this to Toby?" I asked. "Oh my goodness. I am so stupid, I can't believe I didn't think about that." Colleen said. "Oh no." I replied. "No, here is what we are going to do. You are going to call Toby and tell him EVERYTHING and ask him to cover for us." Colleen said calming down a little bit. "Ok, and he wont tell Ricky that I like him?" I asked. "Lets hope not." Colleen said. "Ok." I said and took a deep breath.

"Hello?" I heard Toby's voice on the other side of the line.

"Hey Toby, it's me Ari..." I said nervously.

"Oh, hey!" Toby responded.

"Do you have a minute? I kind of want to talk to you." I asked.

"Sure. What's up?" He said.

"It's a long story. Well...I uh...kinda...like Ricky." I said.

"Um...Why are you telling me this?" He asked in response.

"You'll find out, just listen. Your sister thought Ricky and I were sleeping together so I told her that nothing was going on and then Ricky walked in while we were talking and asked what we were talking about, then Colleen told him that I kissed you..." before I could finish I was interrupted by Toby.

"What? Why? What was she thinking? That's the stupidest lie ever, I would never kiss you!" Toby yelled back at me.

I was kind of hurt by his words. 'I would never kiss you' , what's that supposed to mean? Am I really that bad? I can't believe he just said that to me.

"Hello? Are you there?" Toby asked sounding frustrated.

"Yeah, I'm still here. Look can you just do me a favor, please?" I said starting to add some sass to my voice.

"Don't worry, I won't tell Ricky that you like him, and if he asks about 'the kiss' I will tell him your a great kisser." Toby said.

What? I went from a girl he would never kiss to a great kisser? Whatever.

"Thank you. I owe you one. I got to got, I'll talk to you later." I said in reply.

"Bye." Toby said ending the phone call.

I walked back into the kitchen where Colleen was. "He agreed." I said while putting my phone in my pocket. "Good. We should probably go chill with Ricky before he leaves." Colleen said starting to walk down the hall way.
"Hey queen." Colleen said to Ricky as we walked into her room. "I'm not a queen, I'm a king." Ricky said trying to make himself sound cool. "No, I think you're a queen." I said picking on Ricky. "Whatever." He mumbled, "So, what do you guys want to do today?" Ricky asked. "I don't care I am not busy today. I can chill with you guys all day today." I said. "Cool, you guys down to chill at my house today?" Ricky asked. Colleen looked at me and I nodded my head yes. "OK" Colleen said grabbing her keys, "I'll drive!" She said walk towards the door.

~At Ricky's House~

We were sitting on a couch in the living room, watching one of my favorite shows, Gossip Girl. Ricky didn't really seem interested in the show but Colleen and I loved it. " I'll be right back" Ricky said then stood and walked down the hallway. After a few minutes Ricky came back into the room. "Toby is coming over." Ricky said shoving his phone into his pocket. "OK." Colleen said not removing her eyes from the TV.
After a few more episodes of Gossip Girl there was a knock on the door, "TOBY!" Ricky yelled. "RICKY!" Toby yelled back. "What's up? I haven't seen you for a while." Ricky said while him and Toby walked down the hallway until I heard a door shut. I'm assuming it was Ricky's bedroom door. Well this is kind of awkward, just sitting in his living room without him there. It didn't seem to bother Colleen so I decided that I wouldn't let it bother me either.
After a while Toby and Ricky came back out to the living room. Ricky sat next to me on the couch while Toby sat on the big chair playing his video games.
"I'm bored. Does anyone want to chill with me in my room?" Ricky asked. Colleen and Toby just ignored him as if what they were doing is more important than what Ricky had to say. "Ari?" Ricky asked as if I was his last hope. "Yeah, I will chill with you." I said and watch as Ricky's smile grew huge on his face. "OK, cool. Follow me." He said and I followed. Ricky lead me down the hall to his room. Ricky opened the door and we both walked in and sat on the edge of his bed. We didn't do anything fun, we didn't even talk. We just sat there in silence for about 5 minutes until he got a call. "Let me take this real quick" he said walking out of the bedroom. "OK." I mumbled but I don't think he heard me.
I just sat in his room for about 15 minutes looking around. He had a really cool room it was organized and clean. I saw the door opening and looked up to see that it was Ricky. "That was my friend Lizette, she coming over to hang out. We should probably going back to the living room before she gets here." Ricky said grabbing my hands to help me stand up. I stood up but Ricky didn't remove his hands from mine. I felt my self starting to blush so I looked at the ground. "Can I tell you something Ari?" He asked. "Yeah, you can tell me anything love." I said eager to hear his response. "OK." He said.
I was confused. What was he doing? I looked back down to the floor. I soon felt Ricky remove his hands from mine. He then put his hand on my chin moving my head up so that I was looking him in the eyes. He had such beautiful eyes. I felt him getting closer to me. I got so excited as he leaned in. Was he about to kiss me? His face was so close to mine, I could feel his warm breath on my skin. I closed my eyes preparing my self for what was about to happen. He put his hands on my shoulders then whispered to me "I know your secret...", he then moved back and took his hands off my shoulders. "Huh?" I said confused and kinda disappointed that we didn't kiss. "I know your secret..." He said then quickly turned around and ran out of the room.

What just happened?

A/N: I'm back loves!!! I wasn't gonna update until like next month, but I missed you guys so I just wrote this chapter during the weekends when I didn't have to do school work.
