"Like i said it was to good to be true. why did you let this guy come along?"
"i did mention that Ethan was coming along when i was on the phone with Cole." i answered
"if you thought that I'd let my Yuka go out with a guy like you alone your wrong." Ethan answered as we walked towards the door.
"your to persistent about things, there's no proof of her being yours." Jake answered
i watched Ethan come closer to me his hands griped my neck bending it slightly.
"this is mine, its also marked very clearly and this mark can stay to at least 2 more days." he ended
Jake's mouth wide open
I'd never noticed i still had that.
"you should know that, that kind of mark can be mistaken for ....." he didn't finish instead he opened the door to his house as though he had nothing else to say
"you guys shouldn't be fighting over a mosquito bite, its not necessary, rather than you Ethan in particular fighting over a mark you should be doing what your here to do, don't get to crummy with this guy" i said pointing at Jake.
i heard a dog quickly run towards me tackling me to the ground.
"i was expecting Mike to hug me, what an inconsiderate dog, and after all these years to." Jake said.
"Jake your home, moms making dinner and I was helping" i heard a little girl. if i remember her name was Bay.
she peeked at us.
" Jake she looks like the pretty girl you brought over, i want to do her hair." she said. Jake quickly quitted her down telling her not to mention that out loud.
"Jake who is it" i heard his mother as she exited the kitchen
"some guest" he answered politely.
so he has a good side to him to. i thought
" nice to meet you miss... i wanted to apologize for the last visit i had here, i never meant to cause the inconvenience." i said looking at her.
she sighed wiping her hands.
"its to late for that, its already been half a year or so, what makes you think I'd keep a grudge over something so little, i never really expected my son to get so friendly with a girl, after heartlessly rejecting tons of others and the thing about friendship..."
she stopped at that looking at Ethan from were he stood.
so he had some trust issues
" what did you come here for," she questioned eyeing Bay to head up stairs as she quickly obeyed.
Ethan locked the door behind him and closed all the window curtains quickly installing a portable camera on the front porch.
we all gathered at the dinning room quietly sitting down.
"on the day before the festival were were you?" Ethan began.
she sat silent as though she had nothing to say
"asking me ridiculous questions is not necessary. I'm assuming you two are investigating the incident am i right?.... well i have nothing to do with it, even if i was once CEO of the Bensmer Corp. involving me in something i ran away from will only cause my more pain."
why would she run from being CEO of my fathers company
"you said you ran away from the job..... why is that?"
"Yuka..... i know your mother, i heard that she was killed, after my disappearance, but that didn't concern me." after hearing that i quickly stood attempting to hit her, Ethan and Jake holding me back.
"You shouldn't be to fast to strike someone..... all the CEO'S of Bensmers company are mearly pawns, unfortunately others know of how useful they are and use ill attempts to steal away the riches of Bensmer, the truth is i wasn't deceived by such thing. my husband also works for Bensmer, he worked with him all his life and it is said he knows more than me or rather i know more. after the incident during the festival there was know telling he was killed, but he disappeared and know ones seen him.... others are assuming he has been held captive by the enemies." she said
"your timing was incompatible, if you are still wise as you are know why did you leave the day before the festival, did you already know something was going to happen?" Ethan questioned
" i knew nothing of the bombing that was going to happen." she answered. she then turned to look at me
"Yuka...... your the child of Bensmer, let me tell you what i do know. if Bensmer really took his company serious your mother would of been CEO of the company, since she is the wife, and is the only one more suitable and trust worthy to do the job. what you don't know is that, CEO'S are also workers who are targeted and being forced to spit out information in order to live. i was also targeted. The reasons your father didn't have your mother for the job is because he needed to protect her unfortunately he couldn't and it led to her death, what she really needed was him being there for her"
she stood up opening a cabinet taking out an old box. as she sat back down she took out a rather old note sliding it across the table for us to see.
"YOUR THE NEXT TARGET, RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN."
Jakes eyes began to spark with fear, as well as mine.
"i was pregnant with Bay at the time that i got the note. and so i fled taking Jake along with me hiding my identity, the truth was I've been running for years and i was finally planing to stick to this place, but in the end there is more of you."
i stared at Ethan who seemed to have spaced out
"I want someone suitable to take care of my daughter. i don't want any, that will make the same mistake as me to be with her. as long as she holds the name as Bensmer then she is the target, to failure, so for know, I'm allowing her to live the life she wants before chaos breaks out."
what could Ethan be thinking to be so spaced out like that.
"who would of thought my cold blooded son would get involved with what i ran from, I'm actually glad he's being more normal here."
she glanced at Ethan stearing at him more closely
"you've grown more than i expected" she said, Ethan returning to him self
"your that expressionless rich kid that was really good at combat, you've grown quite handsome." i glanced at Ethan
"i never thought that you'd notice who i was after all these years." he responded.
a reunion......to think I've treated Jake as messed up as i did when he was the same as me.
i stood up walking out the door Jake following along while his mother and Ethan continued to talk.
"your lucky to have everything you want" he said "i force my self to forget those things so i can smile rather that cause my mother to stress to her death"
i nodded "except i cant easily forget like you could" i answered.
i felt him come closer to me his arm around his shoulder.
"were the same, my family is in danger to."
the name of the Bensmer was death.
