Birthday Night Out

"Go on Y/N ,have another drink!" Gaby shouts over the thudding music.
You search the table for a shot glass before turning to your right and seeing a drunk Bonnie drink the remains of a bottle of wine.

"Better not, need to make sure this one doesn't end up in a ditch". You laugh to yourself.

Benedict, Oliver, Gaby , Bonnie and a few of your friends had taken you out to a club for your birthday. Clubs weren't really your scene but you decided to just let loose and have a good night, seeing as it was your birthday.

You were sat next to Benedict on the round sofa you were sat on. You had a small table in front of you containing the drinks and around you were flickering multicoloured lights and loud thudding music.

"Bet your excited for this holiday huh?" Your high school friend Holly asks.
You look at Benedict and look back to holly.

"I literally can't wait. Have so much to sort out though. You know, currency, spray tan-"

"And this drama school thing! It's amazing how they've let you back on-"

"Oh, it's a different school, Ben got me in"

"Wow, bet that was tough Benedict?" She asks Benedict. He shrugs and takes a sip from his scotch.

"It was fine" he says casually. You smile at him as he winks at you. 
...
"Congratulations on the engagement max" Oliver says happily, rubbing his hands together awkwardly.
Max smiles at him.

"Thank you"

"When-what-how?" Benedict asks confusingly.
You all laugh

"Max got engaged last Wednesday. didn't I tell you?" You ask. Benedict shakes his head.

"No you didn't" he says with a comic sulk.

"Oh sorry, well yeah... He did" you reply.
Ben laughs

"Yeah I got that thanks"
You laugh with him

"Congrats. How did you pop the question?" Benedict asks.

"Well, Faye has always wanted to go to Paris. So I took her for her birthday and proposed to her under the Eiffel Tower."
All the girls 'awed' simultaniously.

"Yeah, it wasn't as romantic as I pegged it would be. She was knackered from climbing the stairs"
Everyone laughs.

"I don't know where I'd want to get engaged" Gaby says casually.

"Not really up to you is it?" Sam replies.

"What do you mean?"

"Well it's kinda up to the bloke to decide where he proposes to the girl."

"Well he's not going to propose in a Nandos is he?" Gaby replies, her tone getting bitchier. 

"Where would you want to get engaged?" Oliver asks you. He was trying to prevent tension.

"Erm... I don't know. Not bothered really" you reply.

"Come on Y/N. Everyone knows where they'd want to say Yes" Gaby weighs in.

"Honestly I'm not bothered" You say, shrugging.
