After making sure that it's fine with Ari that I stole her dresses from previous events for the occasion, I grab my carry on bag and place my laptop, portable charger, regular charger, both able to be used for phone and laptop, I neatly stuff in my mac cosmetics bag that holds my makeup and girly needs into it and put it with my other suitcase. It still hasn't hit me yet that we're flying to New York for the VMAs (we srsly don't know where it's held so don't hit us just pls tell us so we know for next time😹😹💜). I change into my pink hotline bling hoodie, white tennis skirt, my knee high YouTube socks and my vans. (Outfit in media box) I head downstairs with my luggage and Ange helps me put it into the boot of our car before we hop in. I put my headphones in and listen to the Pandora Radio and sing a long to the music.
*1 hour later*
We finally arrive at the airport where we grab our belongings and follow Jai to the front desk, after we hand our bags over and go through airport security we take a seat at our gate area. I take a seat by the large windows to look out into the area where the planes fly in and fly out, I have a fear of heights but watching these things just fascinate me, especially with the way they work. I do have a slight nervous feeling and fear that our plane will crash but it's not likely, I hope...
As I'm staring out at the view I look up to myself and notice a tall figure walking up to me from behind.
"Tay!" I squeal and jump up and hug her real tight.
"Hey beautiful! You excited?"
"Very! Nervous though, but excited" I chuckle and unwrap myself from her.
"Haha don't worry it's not that bad, you'll get used to it over time. How are you?"
"I know, and well aside from someone still being a Jerkpid, I'm great" I huff.
"Is your man still being a pain?" She laughs and ruffles my hair.
"Yes" I groan and walk over with her to where everyone else is sitting and greet Gaga. A while later a voice comes through the speakers.
"Flight A21 to New York is now boarding"
We all stand up from our seats and make our way onto the plane, I latch onto Taylor as we walk on as the platform is wobbly and I get a bit nauseous. Since there's only two seats in each row on this plane, Jai and Ari are together in the first row, Gaga and Ange in the next, then Tay and I right behind, and I am of course, by the window. After the safety video and regular seatbelt announcement, the plane finally starts to go on the runway and launches into the air, I chew on the Mentos I made sure to pack as we take off so my eardrums seriously don't pop. Tay turns to me and we start talking again.
"So are you performing at the VMAs?" She asks.
"Yes I am, I'm very, very excited. I'm performing Emotions by Mariah Carey and Hands On Me by Ari" I smile as I count the number of songs on my fingers.
"That's great! You're going to smash Emotions, I know it! But I have a request... Would you like to perform a song with me?" And I notice her cross her fingers.
"I would love to! Which song?"
"All Too Well?"
"Oh my lord yes! That was my jam in 2014" I laugh.
"Good so you must know the lyrics then?" She laughs with me.
"Oh yes, yes I do." I nod. I pull out my phone again and put it on airplane mode, considering I hope it won't blow the plane up, notice the sarcasm. But anyway, I go on musically and check Loren's latest, she did a few with her best friends.
