Chapter 7: The Past

A Few Days Later...

As they usually did Jefferson and Regina they were chatting and drinking something. Today they decided to switch up their tradition and go to Granny's for some coffee and a bagel.

The pair walked into Granny's and sat at a tiny table in the middle. Red's eyes narrowed at them. He saw the way Jefferson was looking at Regina, at least when she wasn't looking at him. He looked at her with love in his eyes and admiration.

Does he...like her? Red could barely process the thought. Surely it's not possible for someone to be in love with Evil Queen. Maybe she cast a spell on him. Then Red focused even closer, this time on Regina's face. Anytime Jefferson looked away or wasn't paying attention she would give him the same loving look.

Oh my God, they're in love with each other! He does always seem to want to be near her. They always either come in together or with his daughter. Maybe the Evil Queen can love? I wonder if she ever had a love before? Maybe Jefferson too.

She cleared her thoughts and walked over to them. She shared a small smile with both of them. That smile gave Regina some assurance and she felt excepted.

"What can I get you two?" She asked and then he secretly looked into both of their eyes looking for that loving look they'd give each other.

"I'll get my regular coffee and an everything bagel, please." Regina responded nicely. She also shared a warm smile.

"Coffee with some cream and an plain bagel with cream cheese, please." He said.

"Okay, I'll be out with that soon." She said and left abruptly.

"Something's going on with her." Regina whispered. The wolf's ears picked it up though.

Red was went into the kitchen and placed the order.

"Here's your bagels and coffee." Red said and quickly went behind the counter.

"She's acting weird."  Jefferson said. Regina nodded.

   Jefferson's eyes fell onto Regina's ring again.  It made his mind flash back. 

The Land of Oz: Long Ago

   The jumper made his way down a path.  He could see the bright glowing city before him.  He was looking for slippers for Rumplestiltskin.  The Dark One was a very strange man.  He had failed upon bringing him the slippers. He wanted to make it up to him and try again.

The jumper had tried to help with Queen Regina. Her first love had been lost and there was no bringing him back. He could see the pain in her eyes.

The moment he met the queen he could barely take his eyes off of her. He had never seen such a beautiful woman in all his life. To his misfortune the Queen was married to King Leopold and trying to court her would only lead to certain death.

   He made his way along the path towards the glowing city.

   There he stood in front of large green doors.  Jefferson rang the bell on the door. 

   "Who goes there?!"  A man said of out of a hole in the door.  He had a strange hair cut and large brown mustache. Then strange man looked down at Jefferson. "Whooooo are you?!"
