She could say something and mean something entirely different to avoid meaningless argument and explanation because in the end, no one can entirely understand one's situation. But hey, it's all good talk and conversation, right? She wonders if it's just her or does anyone else do it as well? She lets people hear what they want to hear instead of the truth because the truth, in reality, is far more terrifying than the lie that comforts. Even if people don't accept what is, as it is, it still is as is.
