"How you holding up?" I say as I shot and froze a beo wolf with my trick arrow. I pick the frozen wolf and throw it at another breaking it to pieces. "Better than you." says my new partner. It was kinda right in a way. We were surrounded by a pack of beo wolves. Thou we were a few feet away from each other. My weapon of choice was pretty good. A long sword that turns into a crossbow that shoots trick arrows made from my aura. Also I've seen some impressive weapons before, like Takeda's. But I've never seen a chainsaw sword before. It was a steel edge murasama with chainsaw blades on the side plus a blue chainsaw engine on the hilt. Or was it teal ..... I don't know. Her name was Tessa. She was a lil shorter than me and I'm 5'6. She had long teal hair in a ponytail the reached to her shoulders. She had dark blue eyes. She had a black leather jacket on over a blue...... Green..... Teal V-neck shirt. She had on a necklace with a heart on it. She had on a black mini skirt with a teal strip on the bottem edge. She had on Teal sneakers with long white socks. Anyway I need to focus on the fight. A beo wolf jumped at me and I stabbed it in the gut. It thrashed at me, trying to bite me. "Tessa!" I throw the wolf in the air. Tessa had her murasama in another wolf, grinding it's insides out. She pushed the wolf to the ground and pressed a button. The bottom of the hilt shot a sniper bullet and blow half the wolf's face off. The beo wolves made us go back-to-back. I dashed forward and so did Tessa. I slashed a beo wolf to pieces and spun around and decapitated another. I turned behind towards Tessa turning my sword into a crossbow. She had left her chainsaw inside a beo wolf still buzzing inside its gut. She dropped kicked a beo wolf down. I shot and explosive tip arrow at the downed wolf and it blow up with two others. I turned my crossbow back to a sword. "Tessa! Duck and roll!" she grabbed her sword and I ran at her. She ducked and I rolled over her back. I cut the beo wolf down the middle and apparently there was one behind me chasing me so she cut its waist open. We looked around panting. No more grim. I put my sword on my back and Tessa sheathed her murasama at her left waist side. "Well that was fun." I said cheerfully. "Meh, I can still go some more." Tessa stretched out. I wanted to be partnered with Takeda but before I could find him I got jumped by beo wolves. Tessa found and helped me. Not that I needed it. "Come on this way." I jestered Tessa to follow me. "You know where to go?" "Yea." "How?" I pointed at my cat ears and tail. "Instincts."

"Made it!" I yelled in excitement. We came a cross the ruins of an old temple. It was in pieces and covered with moss. In the center there was a circle of pedestals with.... Chess pieces on them. Weird that they use chess pieces for artifacts. "We weren't the first ones here." Tessa says. She was right. Some of the pedestals didn't have anything on them. "So all we gotta do is take one and bring it back." She said. "Yup." "That's easy." I walk over to one of the pedestals and grab the chess piece. "Pony!" I yell. Tessa looks at me with a confused look. "Pretty sure it's called a knight." "Pony!" I yelled again. She gave me a light smile. I may haven't have gotten Takeda as my partner but Tessa was pretty cool. My ears perk up and I grab my sword. "Somethings coming this way." Tessa grabbes her murasama. "Calm down, calm down we come in peace but we don't wanna be in pieces." between the trees a tall boy walk up with a girl my height. The boy had short black hair. He had on a black jacket above a white button down that wasn't button towards the top along with a loose black tie. He had black jeans with black shoes. He had on black fingerless gloves with silver bracelets. He had a spear in hand. He had a a smug smile. "Calm pretty boy." said the girl. Well she didn't say anything but I heard it in my mind. When they got close I asked. "How did you do that?" "My aura substitutes for my voice. When I was lil I lost that ability. You can do it to. Just think of words and I'll hear it." Tessa stepped forward. "So you can read minds." "Well not really, if you wanna talk to me I'll hear it, but you have to concentrate." Tessa and the girl locked eyes for a sec. Then the girl suddenly blushed lightly. "Ahem. Anyway I'm Emma and I can make a connection between us all. All of us can hear this, but if one wants to talk one on one with me they can cut the connection." "I still don't get it." Nat says. "Sorry I'm not that good at explaining." "That or Nat's that dumb." "You don't even know me." "Meh you just look the type." "And what type-" Right in between Tessa and Nat's argument, which I wanted no part in, a boy with orange hair comes flying from the trees. A girl came running after him. "Ashton!" the girl had long white hair braid into a pony tail that reached to her mid back. She had on a light blue tank top on with a small white jacket on top. She wore a white mini skirt with white boots with black laces. On her head she had wolf ears that matches the color of her hair so it was kinda hard to see. From the back you can see a white wolf tail come out from under the skirt. In her hand she had a cypher. The blade was almost the same white as her hair, if it wasn't for the blood on it. "Come let's go help." I say and we all run over. I help him up but he looks at Emma. "Hey Emma." in my mind I her Emma's voice. "Hey Ashton." The Fox girl looked startled. Like some on grabbed her tail. "Whoa, what was that?" guess she heard it too. "Me and Emma are friends from way back." Ashton says. He stands up straight but he holds his stomach. Must have taken a blow to the gut. "Yea ok, but what was that in my head?" she said. "Look long story short she talk with her mind. Gah!" Ashton fell to his knees clenching his gut. He was bleeding. "Shit. Does anyone know first-aid?" Nat said. "Don't worry I got this." Foxy placed her hand on Ashton's belly. "What are you doing?" Emma sounded worried. The Fox girl push on Ashtons stomach. He groaned and fell to the ground panting. Emma grabbed Foxy by the collar of her jacket. "What the hell did you do to him." I pushe Emma off her while Tessa and Nat held her back. "Whooa, easy there silent talk. Calm down. My name's Olivia and my semblance is healing. I can heal wounds easily, just involves physical contact. Can't heal myself thou." At that point Ashton got up good as new. The blood had stopped and even the blood on the shirt was gone. I don't know how she did that but I'm not gonna question it. "Thanks for that." he ruffles Olivia's hair. She blushed and stepped back, her hands on her head. "H..hey! Don't do that, ok. Your... You'd touching my ears." I pat her on the shoulder. "I know how you feel." I said. I pointed at me cat ears and tail. "My name's Gracie nice to meet another faunest." we shook hands. "Likewise." "Name's Tessa." "Nat." they introduced themself. "Anyway let's-" before I could finish Takeda showed up, or rolled up actually. He was covered head to toe with sniff sniff is that yoke? Next to him a boy landed in his feet. The boy had green hair with a black strip. His hair covered his left eye. He had on a black and green gas mask for some reason. He also had on a eye patch. He had on a tight black shirt. Instead of a belt he had his black jacket tied. He black jeans with green and black cleats on. In his hands were dark green with a gold outline nunchucks. "You just had to get knocked into a tree didn't you." said the green boy. His voice was muffled by his mask. Takeda wiggled and got some of the yoke off him. "Sorry I got hit." Takeda said in a sarcastic tone. We walked over. I got my crossbow and loaded an arrow and shoot Takeda. On impact water washed off the yoke head to toe. "Thanks." He said. "No prob." "Care to introduce use Gracie." Emma said. It was at that moment I realized my tail was swaing from side to side in excitement. "Oh umm, this is Takeda." He waved at everybody with a grin. "Sup. This is..." he was about to introduce his partner, but he cut Takeda off. "My names Zan and we need to move, now. Troubles coming." Right when he said that a loud screech was let out and from far away trees where being knocked down. Tessa got in the middle of all of us. "Look we don't need to fight we just need to get an artifact and go. So let's go." after everyone got their chess piece we made a run for the cliff. I looked behind us and in the sky was a huge black bird and tailing us on ground level was a giant scorpion.

And BOOM!! Another chapter done. Hope you enjoyed the fight scene there is only so much I can describe. Now a couple things real quick.
1) on weekends I don't work on books cuz reasons.
2) please note that I suck at spelling so if I see a miss spelled word I'm sorry.
3) yes ik I'm using the same enemies as in the anime. I'm not that creative.
4) lastly ik that Zen looks like the guy from Tokyo Ghoul. I realized that as I was describing him.
