Drew Pov

Taylor looked amazing! It took me awhile to realize it was her, which left a horrible feeling in me. I let her go. I let the most perfect, wonderful, gorgeous,bright, beautiful, talented, amazing girl go. Well this time I'm not going to let her pass me by. I watched her body sway to the music a band was playing up on stage. After, their song it would be my turn and the big surprise. I felt butterflies in my stomach as I played with the ring box in my pocket. It reminded me of the first time I asked......

*Flashback*

"Drew where are we going?" Taylor was winning in the front seat wearing her bright pink bikini under her shorts, and white see through shirt.Her wavy dirty blond hair was blowing in the wind of the ac, and her hand was intwined with mine.

" Where almost there." I tried to sound as casual as I could with the engagement ring in my pocket. We had been together a little over a year and I just knew she was the one I needed to complete my life with.

"This better be worth it." She said letting out a sigh.

"I promise it will be babe just trust me." I lifted up her hand and kissed it.

"I just wish you would tell me where we're going! Like is this stupid blindfold really necessary!" I could see he nose scrunch up under the blind fold I had tied around her eyes before she got in the car.

" Yes it is and would you stop making that ugly face your to beautiful for it." 

She smiled a gave my hand a little squeeze.

"How did I even end up with the best boyfriend?"

" How did I end up with the best girlfriend?"

I pulled into the beach parking lot and turned off the car. "Don't take off you blindfold just yet." I stepped out of the car and ran around to her side. She opened the door and allowed me to wrap my arm around her waist and the other under her legs.

"Drew what are you doing?" She said laughing. I kicked the door shut with foot and gently placed her bare feet down in the sand.

"Tay just stop talking and let me guide you."

She nodded her head and reached out to me. I grabbed her hand and she came close to me walking a little shacky but kept her balance. Her head found my bicep and her body leaned against mine. I walked her down to the waters edge letting the waves slowly splash against our toes. We walked in silences listening to the waves and seeing the sun slowly start to set. I stopped walking and let go of her hand. We were right under the dock, the same place where we had our first meaningful kiss, and also the same place we shared our first 'I love you's'. I looked back down at the seashells I had place in the sand spelling out " Marry Me", and took the little black box out of my pocket. There were butterflies in my stomach,my throat felt dry, and my hands were a little shaky as I got down on one knee.

"You can take off the blind fold now."

Her figures quickly untied the knot and the blind fold fell to the ground she took a moment to watch the sunset then turned around to face me. I watched as her hand cover her mouth and her eyes began to fill with tears. I cleared my throat and took one last deep breath.

"Taylor, you are what completes me in every way. I love you with all my heart and don't know what I was doing before I met you. You are my world, my everything. So will you do me the honor of becoming Mrs.Chadwick?" I opened the the ring up to her and smiled. Tears were falling down her face, but she was smiling down at me.

"Yes.... a thousand times yes!" I placed the ring on her figure and stood up lifting her in my arms. Her legs wrapped around me and her arms were around my neck.

"Guess what?" I felt the warmth of her breath as she whispered into my ear.

"What?" I felt my heart speed up in my chest. She pulled her head away from my shoulder, placing our foreheads together and locking her green eyes with mine.

"I love you!" Her lips met mine. Her hair falling around our faces and her fingers playing through my hair. She stopped the kiss allowing me to breath and answer her.

"I love you too!" This time my lips met hers first, and my arms brought her in close against me until there was no space between us.

*Flashback Over*

The band had finished up their song and were coming of the stage. I looked one last time at the dance floor looking for Taylor in the crowd. She smiled and waved at me making my heart pound. I took a seat in center stage, my guitar in hand,and the mic in front of me. I took a deep breath closed my eyes. Things will be different this time. I opened my eyes again back to the crowd and started to play 'Black and White'.

Taylor Pov

I watched as Drew stepped on stage. He seemed a little nervous, but was able to collect his thoughts before he began to play a melody I had never heard before.

Drew singing:

"Baby baby you can lay me down I'll play the Ukulele

sing lullabies to my lady on the daily

she so cute

she's so fine

I can't stop staring at her behind..."

He gave me a quick wink that made my heart race. Just watching him up on stage doing what he loved made me happy.

Drew's song seemed to take ahold of me. It wrapped around me like a blanket protecting me. The lyrics always had a deeper meaning behind them. I felt as the song just took me over causing my body to sway to the sound of his voice. I was in my own little world as my eyelids closed to take every beat, every note, every lyric in. I opened my eyes when the melody stopped and Drew's voice was no longer playing through the speakers. Drew placed his guitar down and looked out into the audience that was clapping and all on their feet for him. He smiled with a glime in his eyes. Those gorgeous eyes then landed on me. His smile grew even bigger as he saw me. I felt my checks start to burn, and my stomach filled up with butterflies. He jumped off the stage and came running at me. The crowed stared to separate making a path way to me. It felt as though the world was moving in slow motion. His blue eyes were locked with mine making me bite my bottom lip out of habit. He wrapped his arms around my waist spinning me around and placing me back down. My arms were still around his neck and his around my waist.

"Are you ready for the surprise?" His breath was warm against my cheek and his lips were barley against my skin. I just looked up at him and nodded not being able to breath. He let go and got gown on one knee.

"Will you marry me?" Drew had a glowing smile on his face as he opened a little white box with the biggest ring I had ever seen in my life. I just stared looking at him socked but overjoyed at the same time.

"Yes of course I love you!" I felt tears starting to form in my eyes as he slid the ring over my finger. Everyone cheered. I placed my hand on the side of Drew's face and the back of his neck pulling him down to meet my lips. They were sweet and gentile against mine as the space between our bodies grew smaller and smaller. This was by far the best surprise I had ever had!
