Chapter 6

Vivian POV

"I cant believe you! How could you be so irresponsible!! Jesus!"

"What you think this is my fault?"

"You were the one that was suppose to get him Mason!" I can't believe how he could do this? Mason whatever whatever Lexington lost Edward!! I know, someone just won the worst dad in the world award! It didn't start out like this, we were actually having a good time and then out of nowhere he loses the kid!

~Flashback~

Since it was Saturday, I promised Mason that we could do something today with Edward. I hated to leave Edward with Mason on the first night but I had too. Driving to Mason's house is tricky, he lives in a gated community. Come on like a bar fence and a police guy of the age of 50 is going to keep a burglar out. but hey those are rich people for you, thinking there safe behind a bar fence. When I got to the booth, where supposedly the big strong police guard is there to stop all the bad guys, "may I help you?" I told him that I was heading to the Lexington house, he then told me to wait for awhile and he phoned his house asking for my name. I told him and then he just smiled and said 'you may go in. Mr. Lexington lives all the way straight this rode till the dead end and then take a right. You cant miss his house.' Well that's right his house is a freaken mansion. I then thanked the man and drove into the colony of rich people.

Seriously these people don't have a messy yard or one leaf on the ground, I feel like I'm in Sneedville from 'The Lorax' where everything is clean and plastic. The trees look plastic and in every drive way theres a new car! I was on the first steps of Mason's house about to knock on his door, seriously Mason's house looks bigger and bigger each day, with his plastic trees and bushes, we need to save the trees people! I have no idea why I wanted to say that out loud, then all of a sudden Carlton opened the door for me, "Ms. Wright welcome back." How did he? oh they phoned them that I was coming...right?

"Hey Carlton is the prince awake?" I said while raising up my eyebrow in a questioning look. If that boy is still asleep, I'm going to march up stairs and look through all of these rooms, it's noon already! I heard footsteps coming down the stairs, that belonged to no other than 'sleeping beauty' with bed hair everywhere, pjs still on, and yawning. "Vivian what are you doing here?" Seriously his asking me that? What did he go out last night and get drunk? Seriously he looks hung over.

"Where's Edward?" He was then down the stairs in one piece still yawning which I got a sniff of his, god morning breath. When he heard what I told him his face was confused and he gave me a questioning look? "Oh our kid, Shelby has him. He was crying at six in the morning!! Didn't let me sleep." He said adding another yawn. "Who's Shelby? You gave our baby to a stranger?"

"No Shelby is like my second mother. Let me get her." Mason then heads to Carlton informs him to get Shelby. "Okay Shelby is coming down with Edward." he says while walking up the stairs, "You can just chill down here while I take a shower, and then we can go somewhere?"

"Yea sure, I'm free today." Mason then turns around and gives me his signature smile, that supposedly makes all the girls swoon over him. But I'm not going to give him the satisfaction of seeing me blushing over him, so I just turned around and heard him walk up the stairs again. and I was left alone yup, then my curiosity got the best of me so I started roaming around the different rooms found in the first floor. I know where the study is, so I decided to take that hallway and just look at the different rooms. There where 5 doors in that hallway and only 3 doors where open. One was a like a music room, it had a grand piano in the center and guitars lined up against the wall, and a drum set on the other side. So I can confirm that this is the music room, the next room was different. It was colored yellow and very bright, but what was more surprising was that there was nothing here, nothing. Just a couple of plants on the side and a big window that gives you a view of there backyard, and this was not a back yard, it was a park. It was truly breath taking with rose bushes everywhere and fountains located in different directions. There where gardeners working out there ,"Miss may I help you?" I turned around, surprised and embarrassed that someone caught me swooping around there house.
