Chapter 11

Vivian's POV

The hallways were a bustle this week at Anderson Academy, because the Halloween Carnival and Homecoming Dance was coming up. But also the legendary Halloween Prank. Our school loved this holiday because its the one night that the Royal's leave there school alone- deserted in other words. So lets just say that Anderson takes there revenge on the night of the Halloween Carnival.

"Hey girl, where have you been?" I looked up from my locker and saw Ashley smiling at me.

"Hey I missed you. How was suspension" Remember that fight that broke out between Anderson and Collinwood. Well the people that they caught fighting, got suspend for two weeks. I know its a little bit of exaggeration, but it was no sacrifice for Ashley.

"Ehh did nothing really my mom was working the whole time- so stayed home and watched Netflix." I closed my locker and we started walking to our first period. "Oh can you give me all the notes that I missed I don't want to fall behind" I stopped and looked at her, "You're serious? Ash you hate school?"

"I know, but I was thinking during my 'break'. That everything that I was doing was boring so I guess I better give it a try to this school thing and maybe go to college? Ha my mom would die if I told her I got into a school" Was she being serious? I know that Ashley is very smart, but somewhere along the way she got lazy and gave up in school. I guess she lost her way when her parents got a divorce, "Ash you can do anything you know that. And yea I'll give them to you in free period." She then offered me a smile and hug. We then continued walking to our first period, ha I guess suspension does change a person then I started thinking, why did Ashley get into that fight with that girl?

"Ash can I ask you something?"

"Sure bestie whats up" I didn't want to ask her cause I was afraid that she would think wrong of me or think that I don't trust her, but I have to know. "Ash why did you get into the fight with that other girl?"

Ashley started laughing and looked at me,"That girl is a bitch, and I've been having arguments with that girl already, so it was about time that I smacked her."

"But why did she say that you stole her boyfriend?" Ashley just snorted and was about to walk away when I grabbed her by the elbow, "Ash are you cheating on Jake?"

"No Vivi....well not anymore"

"What are you talking about? Are you or are you not?" I couldn't believe this! I thought Ashley was loyal to Jake. She then just gave me a small nod of confirmation and looked down at the floor, "With who?"

"Vivi I don't want to talk about this okay your my best friend..."

"Exactly Ash, I'm your best friend so I want to know...with who?"

She then took a deep breath and looked at me "okay I was kinda fooling around with Dawson. No big deal- lets go" She started walking ahead of me but I caught her by the shoulder and turned her around to face me. "No big deal? and with Dawson! When did all of this start?" She looked at me with an expressionless face. "look I didn't want to cheat on Jake, but remember last year, spring break when Jake went to Asia or whatever"

"He went to Australia Ash..." I seriously couldn't believe what I was hearing does she even love him anymore? "Do you even pay attention? Do you even love him Ash?" I didn't want to interrupt her- but she was starting to piss me off. She then continued, "I went to Cameron's party one night and he was there- we got drunk and well...I liked it...but I do, I love Jake."

"Ash if you loved him you wouldn't have cheated on him!!"

"Urgh Vivi I was drunk okay.."

"and the other nights?" God the rumors were true about her. My best friend was a whore... a slut, she did it more than once I know, but I just couldn't believe it. She didn't say anything but kept her stare at me, "You don't know anything okay, so shut up.." She then walked past me and left. My best friend since third grade was cheating on her boyfriend, she didn't tell me about this either. Poor Jake... I wonder if he suspects anything?

"Vivian," it was Ashley coming back, "You better not tell Jake or anyone about this- I love you and wouldn't like to hurt you"
