Chapter 10
Vivian's POV
Being friends with Mason isn't that bad.
We've been getting along for 3 weeks now and everything has been calm. Well not when Mason met my dad that was a funny encounter.
Were should I start... Well remember when he asked me to hang out with him...
************
Urgh why can't I find something decent. Why am I even freaking out, okay you know what if he see's me all dressed up like a barbie doll then his gonna think that I'm too desperate and a slut...so next. Hmm something casual, but that doesn't look bad on me.
I kept on looking through my closest until I settled for some skinny jeans, a sweater on top, flats, and I put my hair in a messy braid to the side. One last look at the mirror and I felt ready. It was a casual and cute look, nothing relieving that well give off the wrong idea.
I heard a door bell ring and knew that it must be him, I quickly applied some mascara and went straight down the stairs. When I got to the bottom I saw my dad talking with Mason. oh no I forgot he was here. Better go help him out.
"May I help you?"
"Good Afternoon, Sir. I am here to pick up Vivian." Mason looked intimated in front of my dad. My dad isnt one of those big and tough guys, his 6'4 and with a strong voice. That's what makes him scary not his looks, but his voice. "Daddy this is Mason. His my partner for that school assignment."
"oh, your the rich boy. That supposedly my daughter knows how to control"
"Dad!" My father said looking at Mason with a death stare. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is why I dont have boyfriends, my father usually scares them off. But he didnt have to say the last part!
"ah yes sir, my name is Mason of Lexington. And I would like to take your daughter out, for the afternoon." There was something in his tone of voice that didn't seem right. Why does this feel awkward, it feels like...oh no.."Daddy it's not a date. Mason and I..we're just friends." Masons eyes then looked into mine and formed a sparkle in them, not like a sparkle but glow, well something different.
"Okay young man you may take my daughter out, but have her back before 10:30"
"Yes sir" Why was he acting all proper and on cue? Hasn't he done the whole meeting dad part of asking a girl out? Wait, its not a date...so why in the hell is he acting like this? He was all cool with my mom, now with my dad it's like he's the devil or something. "Come Mason, lets go."
"Goodbye sir.." I pushed him out the door before he could say anything else. I looked back at my dad and gave him an annoyed look, "seriously dad?" All he did was smirk and winked at. Yea I'm pissed at him.
When we got to Mason's car he ran over to the passenger seat where i was heading and opened the door for me,"I want your dad to see that I am a gentlemen"
"What?" Mason gestured to me with his head to look back at my house and there was my dad looking through the window.
"Just come on." I got in and Mason rounded the car to get to the driving seat. He pulled out of my drive way and off we went.
********
In case you want to know what happened we went miniature golfing. That was really fun, and for the record I beat Mason.
