I woke up early this morning like I do every year on my birthday to see the sun rise. I looked at the clock and it read five thirty. Everything seemed slightly dark for five o'clock in the morning; but I didn't pay too much attention to that. The only other thing that was strange to me was that there was no lesson in learning to control my powers. This is my first birthday since I became an armored warrior that Sensei didn't do some sort of training.

"Maybe he's giving me the day to relax?" I pondered as I got out of bed and got dressed.

I looked to my bedside and saw my black hat that mom and dad got me for last Christmas and quickly through it on saying, "Can't forget this."

I opened my door to see the hall light on which meant that mom was already up. I then saw Joes door open and he walked out with me.

"I here the birthday boys!" mom said happily coming up the stairs. "Happy birthday you two!"

"Thanks mom." Joe and I both said smiling.

"Jinx!" I called out.

"Darn!" Joe said upset.

"Race you downstairs." He then said taking off.

"Hey, wait for me!" I said chasing him.

We ran downstairs and into the living room to see Joes' new bike and a laptop computer for me.

"Oh my gosh." Joe and I both said speechless.

"The bike is for you Joe and the computer is for you Joke." Mom said while recording our faces.

"Thank you so much!" Joe ran and hugged mom.

"Yes, thank you mom." I said walking over and hugging her too.

"You're welcome. You two can't use them thought until we have breakfast." She said to our dismay.

"Aw." Joe and I both said.

"I would jinx you; but there have been too many times today that all I would say today is jinx." I said.

"You just jinxed me. By saying jinx, you jinxed me." Joe said a little bit upset once again.

"Hey, I'm going to go outside to watch the sun rise." I said putting on my shoes.

"It won't rise for another five minutes; but you're free to wait if you want too." Mom said going into the kitchen only to turn around to say, "Oh, I almost forgot. I have some caramels for you two."

She handed us each three caramels and walked into the kitchen. I the popped all three into my mouth and went outside to watch the sun rise. When I got out side I could tell that something saw wrong. The sky was red; but not the nice sun rise or sun set red that I like. It was blood red and the moon was a full blood moon.

Then I felt a sensation that I hadn't felt since Isaac moved away. I could sense a armored warrior, no two, no ten. The sense kept on multiplying until I couldn't count all the warriors that I sensed.

Then the unthinkable happened. The global tech tower, the biggest and most well protected tower in the city, suddenly exploded. From where I stood, you could barely see the tower; but thanks to my robotic eye, I was able to watch it in horror.

My dad was there. I watched with tears streaming down my face as I thought of dad either being crushed by the tower or falling to his death from thousands of feet up. Then the shield the protected the city faded and I could sense all the warriors closing in on the city.

"Mom, Joe, we've got to leave now!" I screamed as loud as I could.

They came out running just in time to see our neighbors house go up in flames and the explode.
