Chapter 12: The Truth

I continued to look at the pictures.

"This just doesnt make sense"

"What doesnt make sense?" Keon asked.

"Everything...I mean, there's pictures of the King and Queen. There's pictures of when she was sick and had the baby, and yet there's no picture of...."

I stopped because I noticed something.

"Keon look at this"

I pointed at the image that stuck out the most...but it was barely visible.

"...Its someone taking the princess. But its barely visible, as if..." He stopped.

"As if someone tried to get rid of the image"

I starred at the picture alittle harder.

....Wait a minute....

"Hey Keon, look at this"

"....What about it?" he asked.

"Doesnt this person look a little familiar to you. Look closely"

When we looked closer, I just couldnt put my finger on who this looks like.

But I know they look familiar.

"Wait....this is Bomani" He said.

"What?...There is no way"

I looked closer....

"It is him"

"But why would he kidnap the princess?" he asked.

"I dont know...Unless he wants the power for himself"

That has to be it, I mean why kidnap the princess if not for the power.

"So, everyting he's told us was a lie then, why didnt the spirit tell us about him then?" he asked.

"...Unless it didnt know. I mean the pictures are here but its barely visible"

"Okay, but it knew all that history and yet not this" he said.

I started to think of a possible explanation for this.

"Now what about the purple diamonds? Why would he lead us there if he was the one to take the princess amd cause this stuff in the first place?" he asked.

.......Wait a minute,

"Wait Keon...Lets say that if we were to find the purple diamonds right; And lets say whoever touches it or takes hold of it gets the power that the King had sealed away"

"I dont follow you...Are you saying Bomani is trying to get there to get the power for himself " He said.

"Exactly"

"But if thats so, why take us with him? If he knows where they are why not go himself?" he asked.

"Thats the only part I dont know"

I starred at the pictures again, then thought back at what Bomani told us when we first met him.

"I'm afraid not. It's very far from here. And gets very dangerous the closer you get" Bomani said

Wait, that could be it.

I looked at Keon.

"What is it?" he asked.

"I think I know why he might need us"

"Why?"

"It only makes sense. He doesn't know exactly where the traps are set the closer we get. so he needs us to go ahead of him so that way when he figures out  where everything is, he can easily get there"

"Then he will forget about us" he said.

I nodded my head.

That's the only conclusion I could think of.

It only makes perfect sense.

"If that's the case then we need to find Elijah and Allison quick. We cant travel with him anymore" He said.

I agreed wit him and we left.

Of course i'm worried about how we will find another way home, but right now our main priority is to find the others and get out of this cave.
