The match test (Joshaya&Lucaya)

Chapter 8.

Maya's POV.

I was absolutely nervous about going to Lucas's house. I mean, I didn't like his attitude at all and I didn't want to meet his family whatsoever.

I finally decided I would dress casual, ripped pale light blue jeans, a black tank top and a camouflage printed green scaled jacket. I also decided to slay my makeup as usual, going with  sparkly eyeshadow, a winged liner and Barbie pink lips.

Grabbing my car keys I headed downstairs, but before I could leave I bumped into Debbie.

"And where are you going looking so pretty?" She asked with a smirk on her face.

"A boy from my class asked me to have dinner in his place. His sister is a fan of mine" I smiled trying to hide nervousness.

"Oh okay, have fun honey" she kissed my cheek.

"Thanks Debs" I said as I made my way to the door.

You may be wondering why my adopted parents didn't care I was going out with a guy at night without knowing him and the and the answer was simple: dating was illegal so obviously it wasn't a date.

When I got to the neighborhood I had a hard time recognizing the house, I only did because of the path surrounded in grass that lead to it.

I ringed the doorbell and waited.

"She's here!" I heard a girl's voice screaming in excitement and loud steps running towards the door.

A green-eyed, soft blonde haired teenager stood before me with the widest smile I'd ever seen.

"Hey, what's your name?" I asked smiling.

"T-Tracy, I can't believe you actually came" she was shocked, in a good way.

She asked me some more questions but she didn't let me in the house until Lucas came.

"Geez Tracy how rude can you be? Come in please" he said causing Tracy to realize I was in the doorstep and blush awkwardly.

"Hi" I greeted Lucas and he greeted back.

"You must be Maya!" A cheerful woman said opening her arms widely to hug me. "We've heard so much about you! And look at you! You're such a pretty and stylish girl!"

The evening was calm. Lucas and I didn't say a word to each other and I basically spent it with Tracy who even uploaded a picture of us to her Instagram which I of course liked and reposted.

When it was getting late I suggested I had to leave already and saw Tracy pout but decided to go anyway because I was absolutely exhausted.

"I think I should go because it's getting pretty late and I don't want to worry my.. Uh... Parents" I told them and got up to say goodbye to everyone.

"I'll walk you to the door" Tracy suggested.

"No, I will, she's my guest after all" Lucas smiled.

When we got there, he kissed my cheek in a friendly gesture and muttered "I know I'm not your favorite person in the world but thanks for coming"

"Its okay" was all I managed to say before walking through the door.

1. I'm going on vacation to NYC in 2 days so I won't be posting as much but I'll try to do some posting anyway
