The guardians were gathered. Including me, we stood around a large shadow of a high window where Man in Moon's light will supposedly shine through and help us
I started to get impatient and thought about leaving. I looked over at Bunnymund, he looked just as bored as I was. We exchanged sarcastic looks then focused on something else to lessen our boredom. Another ten minutes had passed and nothing had happened. "I don't see why Man in Moon can help us!" I said after a boring ten minutes silent wait. "He hasn't helped me at all for 200 years when I needed him!" I added. "I almost died once and he just stayed in his perfect place in the sky and shone like any other drongo moon would!" I pointed out. Bunnymund laughed and patted me on the back, "Now THAT'S aussie slang!" he laughed. That made me smile, "Thanks EB" I said calming down entirely. "You're the only one who's actually said anything using aussie slang in all my years!" Bunnymund laughed.
Bunnymund's laugh slowly went from a cheery laugh to a hesitant chuckle then back to the long hated silence. I looked over at Bunnymund and shrugged. I rolled my eyes and went to leave when Jack grabbed my hand, "Stay, please" he whispered. I hesitated for a moment, our eyes locked, Jacks startling blue eyes made my heart flutter. I sighed, "Fine" I said and stood next to Jack.
Suddenly light peered through, Man in Moon was here. "Old friend" North chuckled. "You know Emma Wolfblood?" He asks. Apparently Man in Moon replies, but not to me. "Good! She has received a warning that Pitch is out for her" North explained to Man in Moon about Max and my dream. I just stared at the ground and the scenes of the warning repeated in my head non stop. While the conversation between North and Man in Moon continued, the longer it went on for the more restless I became. "Em, Come here" North asks. I look at him wryly and slowly walk over into the moon light.
*JACKS POV*
That moment took my breath away! When Emma walked into the moonlight, she glowed beautifully. Her hair flowed gently with the late night breeze, her voice was calm and her crystal blue eyes sparkled when in the light. I didn't know what to feel. But all I know is that I wish I was the guy looking after Emma for the week, not the Kangaroo!
*BACK TO ME*
I explained to Man in Moon the promise I made to Max, it put everyone in deep shock. "I had too, it's the least I can do for leaving him" I said defensively. North received everything Man in Moon said. Suddenly his face fell into dismay, he sighed and gave a half hearted smile. "If that's what to be done, thank you" North bided goodbye to Man in Moon and we headed back to the cottage. "What did he say?" I asked nervously. "He said you must complete your promise" North said. "What?" Bunnymund exclaimed, "No!" Jack added. "But only until Pitch is gone, then you may return. You shall leave with the pack until we fetch for you" North concluded sadly and that conversation was over for the night.
*SUNRISE*
The sun slowly peeked over the horizon and made the mountains in the East stand out. I got out of my frost ball and sighed sadly. I looked over at my desk, my bow and arrow! Smiling to myself I grabbed my bow and arrow sack off my desk and opened my door and left my room. I casually walked to the front door and grabbed at the door knob, "What are you doing?" I heard a surprised voice. "Going out for a while" I replied to who I suspected, North. "No. Pitch could find you out there, you have to stay inside today until you leave tomorrow morning" North commanded. Leaving was bad, but having to stay inside was like hell. "But-" I objected but North cut me off, "No buts! Now put them away and help Jack around the house." He said and pointed to my room. "Fine" I rolled my eyes and reluctantly trudged back to my room. Suddenly I had a flashback, my window had clips of them, allowing them to be opened. I smirked all the way back to my room, unexpectedly running into Bunnymund who immediately took suspicion for my smirk. "What are you doing?" Bunnymund asked smiling. "Or should I say, going to do" he added. I laughed at his suspicion. "Nothing" I replied quickly. "Tell me" Bunnymund said standing his ground and crossing his arms. "I need to get out, so I'm going to do some archery but North won't let me. I'm sneaking out my window, please cover for me!" I pleaded, I almost got down on my knees! "Okay, but don't get hurt" he chuckled. "THANK YOU!" I cheered and hugged him. "Go, quick" he ushered me and I snuck out my bedroom window.
Being near nature made me feel so much fresher and healthier. I sighed contently and made it snow on me to freshen me up. I slung my bow and around me and flew off. "Finally" I laughed doing loopy loops. But I was completely unaware for who or what was watching...
