Blasted Nightmares

*Bunnymund's POV*

I watched closely as Emma snuck out her window and flew off with her new found bow and arrow. I smiled to myself as she disappeared from sight. I moved casually away from her room and continued my day as usual.

An hour or two had passed and Emma hadn't returned, I started to get fairly worried but didn't show it. "Bunny?" I heard Jack say and I completely jumped out of my fur. "Bloody hell mate!" I exclaimed. "Don't sneak up on me like that!" I added sternly, I knew what Jack was going to say. But what was I to reply? "Have you seen Emma?" Jack asked. I faked a confused face and replied, "Nah mate, I haven't seen her actually. Maybe she's helping North or Sandy" I replied trying to remove as much suspicion as possible. "Ok, thanks. If you do see her, tell her I need to talk to her" Jack said and flew off in North's direction. "Sure thing" I said hesitantly once Jack was out of earshot. "Come on Wolfblood. Hurry up!" I whispered nervously.

*Jack's POV*

Bunny was acting strange back there. But he's always been weird anyways! I finally found North is his office, I hurriedly knocked and walked in. "Hey North." I said. "Jack, need anything?" North asked calmly, he didn't even look up from his magic ice sculpture he was making. "Have you seen Emma?" I asked. North stopped what he was doing. "What do you mean? I sent her to help you" North replied getting out of his armchair. "She didn't turn up, Bunny hasn't seen her but he was acting strange a bit" I replied. "Great!" North said grabbing his coat. "What's going on?" I asked worriedly, "She wanted to go out and do archery in the forest, I didn't let her so she's probably snuck out" North said and we made our way quickly through the toy factory. We approached Bunnymund who was extra nervous today. "Bunny, where's Em, tell us" North said firmly. Bunny hesitated for a moment before sagging his shoulders and giving in. "She's gone out, she's been gone for three hours now. I'm worried" Bunnymund said shaking his head. "Never trust a wolf" North scolded half joke, half frustrated. "I know that now" Bunny replied.

*Back to me*

I lay in the snow. I had a deep gash about my right eyebrow and a dizziness swarmed over me. I staggered against a tree to keep my balance. Blood was dripping down the right side of my face and I was losing consciousness. "Must stay awake" I murmured to myself. I looked over at the sky. sunset. "Crap" I curse. Some future guardian, like that would ever happen. I heard voices, belonging to North, Bunny and Jack. "Where are you?" I heard North. "Over here!" I cried weakly back, "This way!" I saw Jack pointing to me. Finally I lost completely all my strength and fell to the ground, I sank into the snow slightly. "Oh god" Bunny said in quiet dismay. I opened my eyes and smiled at him but started to pass out. "I'm fine, just a cut" I reassured them, I was close to a black out. "You said you'd stay safe." Bunny reminded me sadly as he picked me up and carried me home with Jack and North. "I did." I replied simply. "But tell that to the nightmares" I said slowly and more weakly than ever and lost all consciousness. "Nightmares!?" Jack exclaimed. "Pitch is coming, and he aint gonna stop" North said seriously. "Pitch will kill her sooner or later, she's weaker and this is his chance" Jack said sadly. "Bunnymund, tomorrow she should be okay. You will take her further to the East in your tunnels as you can take her. You'll meet the pack there" North explained. "Okay mate" Bunnymund said keeping his focus on the trail ahead of him.

Pitch was coming. And he was close...
