New Guardian

Darkblood..

Morning eventually came. My eyes slowly opened and I found myself in a large bed. The memories from yesterday came flooding back, the only problem, it didn't feel like yesterday I was attacked by Pitch's nightmares at all! I slowly sat up and reached for my forehead, I had a medium sizes Band-Aid over the deep gash to prevent infection and to help it heal. Other than that and I almost killed myself that day, I felt fine!

Five minutes later, Jack's head popped around the doorway, he smiled his gorgeous smile that made my heart flutter. He's gotta stop doing that! "How are you feeling?" He asked and sat on the end on the bed, his staff beside him. "Fine actually. How long have I been out?" I asked. "24 hours" Jack replied simply. I sat there with my mouth gaping open, "24 h-hours-s?" I spluttered with shock. "mhm" he laughed at my reaction. "I was really worried when we found you in the snow like that" Jack said. I smiled kindly at him, maybe he did like me! Like I like him! "Well I'm safe now" I replied getting up. "Are you sure?" Jack asked, his blue eyes locked on mine. Suddenly he broke away from his long lasting glance, took in a deep breath and closed his eyes for a moment. "Em, I wanted to tell you-" he was cut off as Bunnymund and North came in. It was time to leave. Jack looked at me sorrowfully and touched my hand, he smiled sadly and left the room. I jumped up after him, "Jack wait!" I called, he was gone. Flew off in the wind... I glared at Bunnymund and North, "Sorry mate, but it's time to go" Bunnymund apologised. "Okay, I'll be right out" I nodded sadly and headed to my room.

I didn't really need to take anything, I just looked around to what I thought would be my new room. But I was wrong. I sighed remembering what Jack was going to say to me before he flew away. I haven't seen him since and it was close to leaving time. "Oh boy" I sighed and left the cottage for the very last time. I met Bunnymund and North outside along with Tooth and Sandy, "Bye, Sandy" I smiled and crouched down to his height. He gave a small, sad wave and a wolf icon above his head. "Don't worry" I replied and hugged him. Next was Tooth. "You just got here! We could've been besties!" Tooth said sadly, "We already are!" I laughed and hugged her. "Miss you already" she replied. "Right back at ya!" I smiled and walked up to North. "Didn't even make the two weeks, Wolfblood" he smiled. "You'll see me again one day" I laughed cheekily. Jack still hadn't turned up and I was now side by side with Bunnymund, ready to go. "Jack isn't here yet" I said sad-fully. "You'll see him one day, mate" Bunnymund reassured. "You'll need to be wolf to keep up" North said. I nodded after checking for the thousandth time to see if Jack was coming to say goodbye. Obviously not. I shrugged sadly and my eyes slowly turned Autumn gold. I growled slightly and my eyes transformed gold completely. Suddenly, "Wait!" I heard a call. I turned to see Jack flying over with Tooth. Jack landed and smiled at me sadly, "Come to say goodbye" he said. He rushed up to me and we embraced each other in a tight hug. I looked over at Tooth, my chin resting on Jack's cold shoulder. 'Thank You' I mouthed to her. 'You Welcome!' she mouthed back. We pulled away from each other, our eyes once again locked. "Sorry we didn't get to hang out more." Jack apologised. "That's okay, I just wanted to give you this..." I replied and rested my lips onto his. Jack kissed me back, one hand resting on my waist. I was glad to have his hand on my back, I almost fell backwards! When our lips parted, small smiles were curved on our faces. "See you soon" Jack whispered in my ear. "You can't get rid of me" I smirked back and kissed him on the cheek. "Goodbye Jack" I smiled, my eyes now Autumn Gold. "Goodbye....Em....." he managed to say once I was wolf. Bunnymund tapped his large paw to the snowy ground twice and a large tunnel appeared and we jumped in. I howled in the hole making it echo out to the guardians. I could hear them laugh contently, "Bye!" I heard then say in unison, all except Sandy.

"Ready?" Bunnymund asked eagerly, rearing to speed off. I nodded in reply, my eyes full of sadness but excitement. "Let's go!" he laughed and we took off at a rocketing pace. If someone were watching, all they'd see was a blur. "You're fast!" Bunnymund complimented. I growled playfully in return, I still had plenty on energy left so I put a bit more power into my speed. "Wait up!" I heard Bunnymnd laugh. I turned my head to look at him, I was faster than Bunnymund! Goal achieved. Suddenly, I could hear something unusual. I slowed down slightly and pricked my ears forward and sniffed. I could tell that dreaded smell. I came to an abrupt halt, Bunnymund almost collided with me! "Em?!" he exclaimed. I crouched in a attack position, my ears flattened against my skull and I bared my teeth in anger and anxiety. "What is it?" he asked. I let out a long furious howl that caused Bunnymund to cover his ears. I sniffed and heard louder footsteps. I growled louder making Bunnymund nervous. "Well, well, well" I heard a voice. "Pitch" Bunnymund said coldly, "Aren't you glad to see me?" he smirked. "No, we aren't" Bunnymund replied. "We? Oh yes, the Wolfblood. Exactly who I'm looking for" he smiled and stepped forward to stroke my ears. I used my quick reflexes and snapped at his hand missing it by centimetres. "Feisty one" he smirked. "Sadly, I can't do anything with your precious guardians protection you" he smirked and flew over to Bunnymund. He got out a sharp knife and threatened Bunny with in. I fell weak, no way was that going to happen. I turned guardian. "Wait!" I shouted, Pitch stopped inches away from Bunny. "Don't hurt him or the others!" I said firmly. "Including Jack?" He said in an innocent but spine tingling evil voice. "Including Jack" I repeated strongly. "What's in it for me?" he challenged. I looked at Bunny, he shook his head viciously telling me 'no', I looked at him sorrowfully and sighed. "You let them be, and you can take me" I sighed sagging my shoulders. "No!" Bunny shouted. "Pipe it!" Pitch growled darkly. "What can I do with you?" Pitch smirked. "Anything! I'll be yours. Emma Darkblood." I offered desperately to get Pitch's attention onto me and not hurting Bunny. Pitch thought for a moment. Finally he smirked and released Bunnymund, "Deal" he said and stood in front of me. "Em, No!" he shouted. "It's okay, everyone makes sacrifices" I reassure him. "Sure they do, but this is too much!" he shouted angrily. "Don't try to stop Pitch. A deal is a deal" I said stopping him with ice. "Tell the guardians I said 'hi'" I said sadly and disappeared with Pitch.
