Ugly Girl

Chapter 4: Welcome To High School

Kayla is now 15 years old and is a freshmen at Cambridge High. She now statures to be 5'2, pretty dark skinned girl, and her jet black hair grew down midway on her back. She was pretty nervous about going to high school , but Jasmine told her she'll be fine. Kayla treaded through the new school searching for her classes even though class hadn't started yet.

She found her first class upstairs on the left side of the hallway. After Kay checked out her first class, she decided to look around the school more. The school was huge and wide as well. Anybody could get lost in that school.

She was really mesmerized by the nice looking guys , but she knew she wouldn't be able to date one of them. She just felt entirely too hideous to approach any guys. Kayla still didn't really have any friends since the 6th grade. Hopefully during her high school years she would make friends or maybe..just maybe have a boyfriend.

Asia was 17 now and she was struggling with some obstacles as well. The modeling agency that she was working for was starting to see Asia get a little thick. Although Calvin liked her thickness, the modeling agency did not. They wanted her to thin out a little or they were going to take her out of the modeling agency. Asia had to start working with a trainer to keep her body in shape.

Kayla's first period started and it was her English class. It was only 7 girls in the class and the rest of the class was boys. The teacher was an old,white, and short lady. She had pretty sky blue eyes, nice skin, long grey hair, and a nice nose piercing.

"Good Morning my name is Mrs. Green." Mrs. Green smiled. "I have been teaching for 30 years and I have never had too many problems with students. Hopefully it stays that way. So welcome to high school freshmens."

Mrs. Green didn't do well with introduction, but hopefully she could teach twice as better. She told them they would learn about learning to write, poetry, how to comprehend novels,and etc. After she finished talking, she let the students talk to eachother. Kayla just pulled out her sketchpad and drew out ideas. A brown skinned guy watched her draw. He was so amazed with her skills.

"Wow you can draw." The guy smiled. "Do you draw like this all the time?" The guy asked in an excited tone.

"Um yeah." Kayla said quietly while drawing. "What's your name?"

"Jacob." Jacob smiled. "What's yours?"

"My name is Kayla." Kay smiled.

"Nice name." Jacob sat beside her. "Jacob and Kayla has a nice ring to it." Jacob said in a flirtatious tone.

"Yes I agree." Kayla replied in a flirtatious tone.

"Are you seeing anyone?" Jacob asked in a serious tone.

"No." Kayla glanced at him.

Kay couldn't believe a cute guy was talking to her. He was amazed with her drawing skills and he seem to actually like her.

"How about me and you go out?" Jacob whispered.

"Um..." Jacob cut her off.

"Maybe we could get to know eachother first." Jacob smiled. "Is that okay?"

"Yeah that's fine."

Kayla didn't want to turn him down, but this was only the first day. Jacob wanted to meet up with Kayla at a small cafe in California tomorrow. Kayla was so flabbergasted that a boy wanted to get to know her. During English class, Jacob and Kayla talked about music, drawing, writing, and their future careers.

Class had ended 45 minutes later. Kayla began to feel gloomy because she had to leave Jacob.

Kayla headed to her next class downstairs which was Art. She was so confused of where to go though. She got lost 3 times and found herself walking in circles. Finally Kayla asked a teacher that was directing the halls. He told her to go down the hallway that she was on and make a left.
