Ugly Girl

Chapter 9: Senior.

It was the month of October , but the year where Kayla was stressing a lot and also her final year in high school. Kayla was now 18 and Kelsiee was 2. The two girls were growing right in front of Uncle Lenny's eyes. He began to reminisce when they first came to his house two years ago. He felt like it was an honor to take care of his beautiful nieces.

It was a beautiful Friday morning and Kayla was still resting. Uncle Lenny was downstairs cooking breakfast as Kelsiee was helping him. After Uncle Lenny finished cooking breakfast, he instructed Kelsiee to go wake her mother. Kelsiee did as he said. When she arrived in the room, she sat on the bed quietly and stared at her mother sleeping peacefully. She then began to tap Kayla lightly repetitiously until she woke up. Kayla stretched and took a glance at Kelsiee.

"Good morning mommy." Kelsiee said in her kid voice and then giggled. "You sleep good?"

"Good morning beautiful." Kayla rose up and sat Kelsiee in her lap. "I slept really good. What about you?"

"Yessss." Kelsiee clapped her hands. "Uncle wants you to eat food." Kelsiee said seriously hopping out her lap.

"Okay I'll be down in a few." Kelsiee nodded quickly and returned downstairs.

Kayla stepped out of bed and put some warm socks on her feet. She stretched once more and walked downstairs as an delicious aroma hit her nose. When she had arrived downstairs, she saw a breakfast buffet on the kitchen table. Kayla fixed herself a plate quickly because she knew she had to be at school in an hour. Kelsiee was eating her favorite cereal Cocoa Puffs and Uncle Lenny was sitting in the living room eating.

"Kay it's 7:45. Hurry up." Uncle Lenny turned around towards Kayla. "You don't wanna be late."

"I know Unc." Kayla sat near Kelsiee and began to devour her breakfast.

In 15 minutes, Kayla was finished with breakfast. She headed upstairs quickly as Kelsiee trotted behind her. Kayla had no idea what to wear , but she decided to figure that out when she finished showering. As she finished her 10 minute shower, she came out the room in a wrapped towel. She closed the door and locked it quickly. Kayla finally figured out what she was going to wear. She pulled out a white tee, a short cut black blazer ,denim skinny jeans, and her studded black flats . She also put her hair in a neat bun.

"Mommy where you going?" Kelsiee asked in a sad tone.

Kayla bent down to her level. "I'm going to school." Kayla kissed her cheek. "You know I always come back right?"

"Yes, you always have to go school." Kelsiee pouted and crossed her arms.

"I know. I'll see you later." Kayla picked Kelsiee up and took her downstairs with Uncle Lenny. " I love you Kels."

"Love you too mommy." Kelsiee kissed her mommy before Kayla put her on the floor.

Kayla waved goodbye to Uncle Lenny and headed outside to her black Kia. She was so happy she could drive now. There was no more bus rides or walking to school. As she hopped in the car, she put her seatbelt on and started the ignition.

Kayla arrived to school 25 minutes early. She walked in the school and greeted everyone she knew. Kayla was fairly known because she was apart of student council and also apart of some clubs like Art,Dance, Fashion, and Book Club. Kayla had everything going well for her. As she arrived at her locker, LaTasha was standing by her locker.

LaTasha had long brunette hair that almost literally went to her butt. She had light green eyes and was a tan caucasian girl. LaTasha was from Great Britain, so she had amazing British accent. She came to Hollywood High in the middle of sophomore year.
