Chapter 24

Camila walked home and fell on the couch.

Ugh. Could this day get any worse.

"Mommy! Mom?!" Carlos walked in through the back door.

Camila tilted her head up to look at her son. "Can I have a sleep over at Ally's?"

"Did Ally ask you?" Camila questioned and he nodded. "Well then it's okay I guess."

"Where is mom..?" He said after he looked around a little. "She ehm.. she wanted to visit aunt Taylor."

"Aha okay!" He said as he ran out towards his friends house again.

Camila was happy their son didn't know Lauren was angry with her. She didn't know what to do. She wanted to help her father since he was right.. She did ruin a lot for him. But.. Lauren she didn't understand.

Would she ever?

She closed her eyes and decided to just take a nap.

"What do you mean, her father is making her his puppet again?" Taylor asked as Lauren sat on the couch, tugging her hair out of frustration.

"Just like I said it. She is once again doing what he wants for HIS image and ruining someone else's life for HIS sake."

Taylor rolled her eyes. "I thought Camila was smarter than that."

"Well.. She is but she just.. She thinks that this will fix his relationship with me and I kinda see what she is trying to achieve but.. At the same time she doesn't realize how wrong this is."

"Alejandro is making her feel guilty for the things HE does. Camila thinks that she needs to do this because she has let her father enough down. But he did that to her! He lets her do this.. And he promises her something that we both know won't happen. This is so wrong." Lauren ranted. Taylor could clearly see her sister was upset.

"I know but if Camila is dumb enough to do this..." Taylor said. She didn't know what to say more.

"So you just left like that? What about Carlos?"

"Well.. Usually it's Camila who always runs and leaves us alone so now it's her turn to stay with our son and hold him while he cries. I'm done with her for a while now."

Taylor shook her head. Ugh they were both so childish.

"Why aren't you guys talking it out?"

Lauren raised her eyebrows at this. "Didn't you just listen to my whole story? Camila won't change her decision and I won't either. So what is the purpose of talking?"

"Okay okay. Just.. are you really gonna break up with her because of this?" Taylor carefully asked her sister. But.. She probably should have kept her mouth shut.

"Are you fucking serious Taylor?! You know all the drama me and her have been through because of her fucking jealous father and then you ask me this?! This is a huge issue! Her father had power over her almost her whole life.. I saw it Taylor. You saw it too remember? She was always so scared to mess up. She always did everything he wanted her too. She never complained. She was his perfect little girl... When she finally wanted to be herself and do what she wants, he told her it was wrong. He wanted her to be like him. Image is always important. It doesn't matter in what way you get something, just get it. It took her so long to leave her father and do what she wants. Stop being his puppet... And now.. Look."

She stood up and sighed.

"If he would ask her to do something for him that wouldn't involve lying and cheating.. Then I wouldn't have a problem with it. But look.. He is making her cheat just so he can stay the major and have this image painted.. That isn't even true." Lauren said angrily.
